Dr. James Wyman Thomson, DO

Dr. Thomson has taken care of my family since he came to this community. We are so lucky to have him, not many Dr.’s want to take on a small town practice, but Doc. did and we are the better for it ! Not only after many hours here in town , he checked on his patients at McCullough Hyde hospital plus the area nursing homes. Thank you Doc. You are forever in our hearts and prayers.

Girls in office are very BUSINESS like only manner...and moody for most party...the docs are great though!

This guy is all about the money. Cares for only a select few. In and out of room quick. Doesn't listen to patients. Over medicates. Is still using paper files which get lost! Has no RN's only LPN's and MA's. Be careful

I know the locals like the ease of getting an appt with Dr. Thomson, however, that is it. His staff doesn't know the meaning of hippa. He overprescribes antibiotics. I do like his NP, trust this person more than Doc.

He needs to retire. I have been to him several times with a shoulder and a back issue. He did MRI and said everything was OK, no immediate threat and nothing requiring surgery. The problems persisted and I went in again, this time another Dr. was filling in for Thomson. This man took several minutes to read my file and then explained everything to me and even recommended I have surgery on my shoulder, pretty quick. I followed up w/ a surgeon and he agreed. Problem is, I spent wasted years with Thomson, and the shoulder will never be fixec right because it was so far gone. I was also diagnised as a diabetic by Thomson several years ago. He never sent me to a specialist. After seeing a different Dr. I found out I needed to go to a diabetic wellness center and I did. My diabetes is now under control much better that it ever was. The new Dr. put me on better meds and educated me on how to care for my condition. Dr. Thomson is a likeable guy, he likes to talk and he is friendly. But, he is… old school or something and in my opinion, he needs to retire. I know a man who stroked under his care and Thomson had the signs in front of him and looked the other way. Well, that man's house is now paid for if you know what I mean. I'd see him for the cold or flu, and thats about it.

Experience with James Thompson has been bad and ive been told of him misdiagnosing people of camden ohio and former doctors in medical records have said his medical records from his office were shady.Ive known of mistakes made in script writing which causes others pain and problems.At this time i have nothing positive to say about him so that others are not affected by his mistakes.
