Dr. Tinsley is a great physician. He is very knowledgeable in the medical field! He listens well & makes correct diagnosis & follows up with great compassion as well as correct treatment . He cares for his patients and shows. He is an excellent provider. You would be happy to have him as your provider!!! I was very lucky to have him as my provider at the V.A. ( veteran hospital) in Hampton virginia. Having him as your doctor is like winning top prize in the state lottery, few like him come along in one's life. I was truly blessed having his medical protection & I will miss him as being my doctor, Good luck Mr. James C. Tinsley MD !!! He will surely be missed by all veterans he served. He was a good man that the V.A. hospital in Hampton didn't value as a treasure, which he was!!!!

Dr. James Tinsley is a very experienced, knowledgeable, and caring doctor who has even checked on me at home after a serious illness. He does everything he can to help improve my health. I have had many doctors at the VA Hospital over the last 30 years, and consider myself very blessed to have been assigned to such an excellent physician.

My and my wife's initial experience with our newly assigned Primary Care Physician, James Tinsley, M.D., was overwhelmingly positive, as we were referred to him due to a serious life threatening condition I have been diagnosed with, and he made an effort to contact us before we even had our first official appointment with him. He immediately provided excellent medical advice and a compassionate understanding that put both my wife and myself at ease. My first appointment with Dr.Tinsley found him to have already studied my case and was thus able to provide helpful courses of actions that I needed to follow to build up my immune system in preparation for upcoming chemo treatment. As I am on a number of prescription medications, Dr. Tinsley provided a thorough check of what I needed and any new prescriptions that I would be needing to address my medical condition. He then made sure that I would receive my meds in a timely manner. Dr.Tinsley immediately began the process of his… coordinating with my other medical specialist (Oncoloists, Radiologisits, etc) to ensure that everything possible was being properly coordinated, and that all pertinent tests were being followed up on. He even authorized a limited number of home health care visits to address some of the anxiety, laclk of appetite and breathing issues I was facing since coming come from the hospital. We found Dr. Tinsley to be an excellent listener to my and wife's concerns and fears, and he took time to address each question that we had written down for him to respond to. Overall, our first impressions of Dr.James Tinsley have been overwhelmingly positive. He is both extremely knowledgeable in the field of medicine and very caring, having even phoned us at home to check up on us with regard to the first appointment. Based upon our first impressions and initial contact and consultation with Dr. James C. Tinsley, my wife and I would highly recommend Dr. Tinsley as a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a good and caring family practice physician, who truly is concerned with the well being of his patients.
