Yes, I would recommend Dr. Trenbeath to any of my family or friends.

I chose this doctor due to his 20 years of experience. I went in forewarned about his lack of bedside manor, however I was still taken aback by the experience. Upon arriving in the examination room (after a long wait time of 30+ mins) for each of my 5 appointments he went straight to his PC without a friendly greeting or eye contact. Each time I was left feeling awkward in silence throughout the appointment, as he typed furiously for many minutes. On the 1st apt he made a diagnosis after asking me a few basic questions. He told me I'd have the condition for life and nothing could be done. (This was later proven wrong). I had prepared a shortlist of questions, but he did not seem welcoming of this and snapped at me at one point because he was running late. I put on a brave face but then cried all the way home. Going to the doctor for 'embarrassing' bowel issues is hard enough; being ignored and being made to feel like a pest for simply taking up the doctor's time is the worst feeling… ever. Although I'm sure he is a quality doctor, I feel that he finds some joy in his life that will lead him to becoming excited about his position again. At the very least I would hope that he finds it within himself not to take it out on his patients in future when he is rushed or stressed. By doing so he will do his patients a far greater favor than all his years in medicine.

Dr. Trenbeath told me I had post partium depression. However, I told him I felt so ill and my left side was so tender and painful. He told me I was just depressed. A short time later my colon perforated due to diverticulitis. Also, this GI doctor has doesn't have a bedside manner. I would be ok with his lack of bedside manner if he would have diagnosised me correctly.
