Summary
Dr. Trentalange is a third generation dentist. His father and grandfather both practiced orthodontics. He graduated as Valedictorian from Winchendon Prep School in Massachusetts. From there, he attended Stetson University in Florida and majored in Sociology and History.
Upon graduating, he worked on Wall Street with Fundamental Brokerage, earning a series 7 for brokerage. After two years, he decided to go back to school to become a dentist. He attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington to accrue his pre-dental requirements; then, he got accepted to the University of Kentucky the College of Dentistry. Here he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine and then joined the US Navy.
At Camp Pendleton in California, he completed a residency in general dentistry with advanced education in orthodontics, oral surgery and periodontics. With that extra training, he was able to apply for remote duty stations. He and his wife accepted a position in St. Mawgan, England, and it was …here that he gained his love for general dentistry and quiet places. After eight years of service, he, along with his wife and child, decided to leave the Navy and move back to the US.
They chose the Kennebunk area to raise a family as well as to practice general dentistry. An old antique shop in Arundel was converted and not only served as the dental practice but also as their home for the next two years. It was at this time that they added a baby girl to their family.
Dr. Trentalange continues to educate himself in comprehensive restorative dentistry with the Pankey Institute. Throughout his time in the York County, he has worked alongside with many of southern Maine’s specialists, desiring to help his patients to receive the best dental care available.
He strongly believes in helping patients understand their particular dental needs as well as showing them what care is possible with the combination of traditional and modern dentistry. You will find Dr. Trentalange to be friendly, empathetic and easy to communicate with.
Outside of the office, he loves to play the guitar, surf, ski, hike and spend time with his family.
