1st time visit. I never expected the excellence from 2 doctors who thoroughly went through my medical history before I even met Dr. Turro. Wish I could recall their names, but they were very professional. Dr. Turro convinced me I made the right choice! he is amazing! Friendly, funny and so extremely knowledgeable! Best decision I ever made for my healthcare!

Dr Turro was my primary physician at MKMG until he retired and moved to NJ. He is an outstanding doctor and was there for me when I needed him most. A very caring and compassionate doctor. Dr Turro is the best doctor I’ve ever had and I miss him! Mark Franzese

I’ve known Dr Turro for over 20 years, having worked with him for 15 years. I’m totally perplexed by some of these negative reviews. He’s a great doctor from every perspective. When he left the group he worked at for around 30 years, patients and staff were crying. He’s got the perfect ingredients for a good doctor: smart, listens, cares. If he’s conservative and old school, as some people have stated, I don’t see a problem. Other comments also seemed off the wall and totally unlike Dr Turro, a guy whose practice was closed for the entire time I worked with him. So many people wanted him as their physician and he just could not fit them into his practice. My husband used him until he left the group to work in Tom’s River. My gut feeling tells me that something is wrong with many of these reviews. If you can get into his practice, I would say, “Go for it!” And fast, as his practice will probably be closed very quickly!

I have been Dr. Turro's patient for 4 years and am so grateful to him caring for me. I never have a problem scheduling an appointment, have never waited unduly to be seen, he askes and answers all my questions and spends as much time as I need. I have worked as a medical assistant and x-ray tech before my retirement and consider myself fortunate to have found a doctor I consider excellent and someone I would have liked to work with and have worked with in the past.

After my primary care physician retired in 2018 and transferred his practice to another area doctor who was not highly rated, I was referred to Dr. Turro. I delightedly found him to be thorough, very professional but outgoing, knowledgeable and caring. In addition to performing a comprehensive annual physical, I had subsequent appointments with him to seek surgical clearance, treatment of a rash from medication and some helpful tips to assist me with post op problems. I highly recommend him.

My wife and I moved to the area just under a year ago. So naturally we needed to get set up with the Dr’s we need. After reading reviews we thought we’d give Dr Turro a visit. The first visit went ok.... He was somewhat concerned about some of the medications we were on. But his evaluation of both of us was very VERY through. He had checked a couple of things that no other Dr had ever looked into. Now a year later he’s been more then helpful and caring then most Drs we’ve seen. If you live in or near Toms River, it’s definitely worth a visit to consult with him. I’m confident you will likely become another satisfied patient.

Continues to give addictive medications to known drug addict family member. Family member was in rehab at least 6 times where all addictive medications were taken away, 2 days after release went to Dr Turro to get her fix . Next visit even stronger opioid was prescribed. Family has made Dr Turro aware of this yet he continues to prescribe. Dr Turro even told us himself that the pharmacist called to warn him when he saw what was being prescribed yet Dr Turro refills addictive medications month after month!

So I don't even know how any of these people could say anything bad about Dr. Turro, he is kind and compassionate, listens thoroughly and is very empathetic. I really couldn't ask for a better doc. His staff is nice, and after just going there a couple times, they know me before me telling them who I am. Which I think is great! All around great doc. And I have a feeling that the people who leave him negative remarks are probably noncompliant

I was a new patient today and the doctor was just like the majority of the reviews. Very nice, caring and informative. I thought it would be hard to find a new doctor I liked because my last doctor was so friendly and became a family friend. We moved recently so we had to find a doctor that was located closer to us.

Dr. Turro is the best! I feel so fortunate to have such a warm and caring doctor -- and smart. He is dedicated, very thorough, and really takes the time to get to know you. I've had some tricky medical problems and he always goes above and beyond to help me get well. He is truly one in a million. Thanks Doctor Turro!!
