Dr. James A Uslin, DO

I saw this practitioner at urgent care for evaluation of an inflammatory eye issue. I found him to be extremely rude, condescending, arrogant and dismissive. A very cold, judgmental and uncaring clinician, who's ability as a physician I do not trust. Seems to be annoyed by your questions or he answers sarcastically. Find a physician to manage your care who cares about you as a person, who believes you and respects your knowledge of your body’s needs.

I saw Dr.Uslin 6 years ago at Summit Health. He completely missed a diagnosis of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (A progressive disease of the thyroid). He told me to exercise more. No blood tests, no further research. A nurse practitioner in his same practice found it with a simple blood test about a year later when I had a physical and reported the same symptoms. I have been living with this disease for the past 6 years (at least) and it could have been treated and maintained without progressing to how severe it has gotten. I wish he would have paid more attention to my symptoms and diagnosed me sooner. It would have saved me years of wondering what was wrong, a couple of trips to the ER and visits to other doctors. My blood levels were the highest my current doctor has ever seen and my thyroid has completely stopped functioning. I will have to change my entire lifestyle due to something that could have been found and treated early. There is no cure for this, but if treatment would have… started sooner, it would not have progressed to the level it is now. He could have just listened and not written me off. Very dismissive and bad bedside manner.

Saw Dr. Uslin for infection. He was professional and polite and called in my prescription. I did not have to wait long in seeing a provider.
