Its very hard to find a specialist with a good bedside manner. I really appreciated my doctor.

He was great! Very informative and listened and addressed ALL of my questions and concerns. I've seen him once by video and this time in person and I had a really good experience both times. He's a great doctor and really cares about his patients!

The appointment felt rushed and I struggled to follow his logic for denying care that I (and my other healthcare providers) think I need. Not to say it was an invalid way of thinking, I just don't know that I understood what he was trying to express. At one point he said "i do 6,000 colonoscopies and I need to sleep" as a reason to not consider consider having me do one yet, even though two of my other medical care providers recommended I get one, including the one that referred me to MNGI. He told me I have a diagnosis I was already aware of and gave me a treatment plan that I have tried before that I stated has not worked for me in the past (fodmap diet). His solution was to refer me to a nutritionist without asking any questions about my diet and the types of foods I eat. It seemed like he cared more about being cautious of saving resources than of truly investigating that something else could be wrong with me, which is why I came to GI in the first place. He did order a couple of… things that my other doctors had asked for, so hopefully they bring something else to the table that we can act on. I left the appointment feeling dismissed and underwhelmed with the treatment plan.

Dr. Vancura treated me with respect and I felt like he included my thoughts in the treatment plans that were made.

For once my husband was able to actually see a Doctor; This Doctor was able to get my husband's attention finally as to just how bad his condition is.

Dr. Vancura is top-notch! I require a lot of information, as I'm active in my care. He gives it freely and in a way that is easily understood.

The provider made me feel very relaxed and that they cared about my issues and wanted me to feel better. They were very easy to connect with and made it feel like a safe environment.
