Dr. James Daniel Vaughn, MD

Horrible uneducated and ignored my symptoms and the fix was easy back then. Now I'm unwell because of his negligence and ignorance.

I read Dr. Vaughn's positive reviews and they all seem to involve treatment of children. My experience with Dr. Vaughn as an adult patient has been quite disappointing. Dr.Vaughn spends very little time with me as a patient. He does a quick, cursory once over rather than a true exam. He orders unnecessary labs that explain nothing. He discounted my symptoms of food poisoning and was not knowledgeable of the symptoms nor the incubation period of salmonella. He spent very little time with me at my annual physical appointment and CLEARLY had NOT read my chart prior to my appointment. I would never take my child to see Dr. Vaughn, despite the positive reviews, as I am afraid he would miss something important. I truly believe Dr. Vaughn doesn't care about his adult patients. I will not be returning to Dr.Vaughn.

If you are looking for a dr that answers your questions and will actually listen to you, then look elsewhere. Getting him to explain things is like pulling teeth. It only takes 3 minutes tops to answer a simple question and he acts like it's an inconvenience for him. You have to be your own advocate because this dr doesn't give a rats butt about patient care.

Been given antibiotics too many times. Hurt my gut. Never another treatment. just... antibiotics. No insight ever into my condition... Just Antibiotics...

Not worried at all about your general condition. You are a number. You don't deserve to have your condition treated just your symptoms. If you are in pain, Vaughn doesn't care. All empathy has left this Dr.

fast appointments but i think he doesnt spend enough time on the patients problem. rushes to an extent.

My whole family goes to Dr. Vaughn, he cares and it shows. You are his priority and he makes you feel welcome and comfortable to tell him what is wrong. If my child is sick, I have NEVER been turned away for a same day appointment or told to go to the emergency clinic. They even have after hours doctor calls, and they don't make you feel embaressed. I can't thank this office enough!!!:)

Dr. Vaughn is a fantastic family Dr. The first time I was at his office, my daughter did not shed one tear. Up until him, she cried her eyes out at every well child visit. I knew at that moment that Dr. Vaughn was the dr. I wanted. He always listens to my concerns, and never makes me feel silly for bringing in my children when all they have is a cold. I appreciate his humor and straight forwardness. His office staff and nurses are very friendly as well. Visits to see Dr. Vaughn never feel rushed. When he is in the room with you, he is there for you and I never feel like he is trying to hurry and get out of there because he has other patients. I give him 2 thumbs up and 5 stars :)
