Dr. James Russell Walker, MD

Dr. Walker is extremely knowledgeable in medicine and very humble. I've known Dr. Walker and his wife for over 40 years. He is highly skilled, sharp, and highly recommended.

“Dr.” James Walker does not care about his patients well being. If you need an internist I highly recommend you find someone else. His wife Sharon, runs the office and as far as I know, has no nursing certification but will certainly act like it. Please research other doctors before your first appointment.

Pleasant staff and excellent doctor!

On the first visit Dr Walker asked me why I was there when he had the new patient information I had filled out in his hand. He did not ask me a single question about my medical history. He seemed to want to keep our visit as short as possible and did not even want to check my heart, respiration, etc. He never ordered blood work or discussed performing a full physical. On every visit, he gave me the feeling that he wanted to keep my visit as short as possible. He misdiagnosed an ailment I saw him and he did not inform me of the diagnosis. I had to refute the diagnosis when I changed doctors.

I think Dr. Walker does care about his patients but his wife runs the office and that is a mess. If you see him and then follow up before your insurance has paid then his wife wants you to pay the outstanding balance even if its payable by your insurance. I had to call BC and tell them she was refusing treatment because BC had not paid yet and she wanted me to pay. BC called their office and she refused to talk to them but I did get to see Dr. Walker. When I told him what happened he looked upset and shook his head. I was also in there one time when I heard the doctor and his wife cussing each other out in the hall way. That didn't help my blood pressre at all. I changed doctors and I'm happier now because his wife made giong to the doctor a horrible experience. But I do think Dr. Walker tries to be a good doctor.
