Office staff was friendly and wait time good. After checking X-rays of my tooth, Dr Watts numbed my gum. I complimented him on his gentleness; however he then told me he failed to see the crack in my tooth at first and he could do nothing for me. He verified the tooth had an abscess beneath it, told me I needed an extraction immediately and called Dr Seago, an oral surgeon I knew nothing about who could see me within the next hour. Dr. Watts knew I needed an antibiotic, am 86 and on blood thinners and I told him I had low blood platelets. I was in shock and prayed about what I should do. Since I was not having pain with the abscess, I declined because I felt the whole thing was handled badly and I felt rushed into this decision about an extraction..I asked for an antibiotic prescription before I left. I considered his behavior dangerous and irresponsible with my health conditions. With his magnifiers I felt he should have seen the crack in my tooth before he numbed my gums and I… felt he was careless and unconcerned with my health. He may be good with younger patients who have no health problems but I felt he ignored mine.
