Dr. James Andrew Wilcox, DO

I have been a patient of Dr Wilcox for 8 years When I first started I could call and leave a message for him For the past 3 years he NEVER called me but has his assistant call me. I had a question about a referral and his assistant told me the name was on the prescription pad sheet. I had another unrelated nurse translate his handwriting and there was NOT a name In addition I have been told that he would call in a prescription refill by the end of the day. it was Friday at 9:30 AMand I called the pharmacy starting at 1:00 and at 5:00 I was informed he never called. he was closed so I couldn’t reach him until Monday and went without my meds Sunday and Monday until 11:00 when I finally got a return call and the meds were ready at 12:30

Highly Recommend Dr Wilcox. He treated me for vertigo and found out I had high blood pressure. With medication he corrected the vertigo and high blood pressure and I haven’t had a concern since,

Listens well and encourages your questions, does not make you feel rushed.

The Doctors and Staff at Dr. Wilcox's office are always so sympathetic and really take a caring to your needs. They are easy to get into see them even if it's last minute. Highly recommend this family practice.

Attentive and thorough!

Dr Wilcox never listens. Even if you see him every two weeks, it's like the first time he ever met you. There is no follow up on tests, He was 30 minutes late on several occasions. I'm glad I have new insurance so I can switch away.

My husband was a patient of Dr. Wilcox for over 5 years. We ended up leaving for insurance reasons and his new dr ran a blood test for AIC and found out he was diabetic! I think Dr. Wilcox should have discovered that and maybe prevented my husband from having diabetes.

If you need to get in quick, THIS is the place to go. However, if you want a doctor who will take the time to hear you out, return your calls, have a staff member return your calls, have your doctor spend more than 3 minutes with you, and have a hands on approach, verses a hands off approach, I wouldn't recommend this office. Nice guy, I'll give him that, but I've been a patient of Dr. Wilcox for several years, and whether it be an annual physical or something that ails me, he's so hands off that all he does is recommend referrals to other doctors. If you have a head cold, he's your guy, but anything more, he's pretty useless.

Absolutely awful!!!

After moving and need to find a new doctor i was recommended dr. Wilcox. I called and receive an appointment that day. At first i was a little nervous after reading these reviews but they are all wrong. I was treated great. I went in got all my questions answered he reviewed everything with me i felt very comfortable. Things are fast paced but i like that i can be seen when i call. Now my whole family goes there.
