Dr. James Wade Wilson, MD

Dr Wilson is my absolute favorite doc EVER!! I didn't think I'd ever say that cos Dr. Blackmon (sw pulmonary alum) was my fav doc for years but sadly retired and I didn't think anyone could take his place but Dr. Wilson did it! He always impresses me with his knowledge besides being the kindest man and having the best bedside manner. I have end stage copd and I'm very ill. He's always there when I need him especially when I'm in hospital. He comes to visit every day. If you're looking for a wonderful pulmonologist, Dr. Wilson is the one!

Had no issues with office staff (including appointment desk) and the doctor was great. Office staff seemed efficient and I got an appointment within three weeks which in todays medical environment is better than most. I had to leave a message to get an appointment but they called back promptly. The doctor was patient and listened thoroughly to my concerns including a very long history. He went out of his way to provide an answer to my medical issue. A very positive experience.

Odd that the review just before me has the same issue. Maybe there is a problem with staff at this time. I have been trying for two days (and left messages) to schedule an appointment as a new patient and am unable to get a call back. I have been trying several times an hour, so it is not just a random problem. Was a little surprised to receive a recording to leave your name and number because the appointment desk was busy, but you also get the same message for the operator, so you cannot reach anyone. Have been put on hold at other offices, but never had to leave a message and not received a call for two days -

Dr. Wilson is the best in the business and I have seen a few. The only negative I have is that the staff does not return phone calls when trying to make appointments. I just referred a new patient and she has been unable to reach anyone to schedule an appointment.

I appreciated that he is willing to listen to me. There was nothing simple about my case. His bedside manner is caring and professional. I have great confidence in him.

Dr. Wilson is currently taking care of my dad, who is at Select Specialty Hospital in their ICU. He is positive, thorough, and seems very well -trained. He will take the time to answer any questions you may have. On top of all this, he is just a very kind and compassionate man.
