Dr. James Wiseman

Rude, Incompetent, and Has Serious Anger Issues. Avoid at All Costs. I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience with this surgeon was so bad I feel compelled to warn others. Right from the start, he was extremely rude and condescending, not only to me but also to the nurses and medical students. I witnessed him yelling at staff, displaying clear anger issues, and treating everyone around him with disrespect. It was honestly shocking and made me very uncomfortable. He was the only surgeon in my insurance network, so I couldn’t switch even though I wanted to. The surgeon dismissed my concerns, rushed through my appointments, and failed to explain anything clearly. The surgery itself was a disaster. He misdiagnosed my condition and left me with multiple complications that I’m still struggling with. Post-op, I was in uncontrolled pain, and despite my efforts to reach out, I received almost no follow-up care or support. I felt abandoned and blamed for problems that were clearly… caused by his mistakes. Avoid this surgeon at all costs. His anger issues, rudeness, and incompetence make him unsafe and unprofessional. I deeply regret trusting him and hope no one else has to go through what I did.

I saw Dr. Wiseman for leg pain. He saw things in my medical records that were not normal. After being told by my doctor and specialists for a year that all tests were normal, Dr. Wiseman referred me to a cardiologist and urged me to make an appointment soon, as it was a "matter of my life." Four weeks after that visit, I had emergency surgery on my heart. Dr. Wiseman saw it when no one else did.

I had so many complications after the surgery. I had to stay 4 days longer than expected.
