I was never his patient but I was his teacher. At Washington University medical school, I supervised hundreds of medical students studying Surgery over several decades. He was my favorite and I was thrilled to read the comments of so many of his patients. Made me proud.

Dr.Wu is one of the most compassionate, current and excellent surgeons I have ever met. Upon diagnosis of colon cancer in 2016 I was fortunate to meet with Dr Wu to discuss possible treatment. He performed surgery the following month and I have been in great health since. His follow-up was exemplary and I am most grateful. I credit his surgical skills and his positive treatment for my recovery.

Dr James Wu is the most skilled yet compassionate Dr. I have ever met. He is an excellent surgeon with a kind and gentle bedside manor - very hard to find that combination.
