Dr. James Lawrence Zellner, MD

On may 12 1972, I had an Type "A" Aortic Dissection. By the grace of the good Lord, Dr. Zellner was in the hospital when the ambulance brought me to Memorial. After an 8 hour surgery to repair the dissection, I Joined the one percent survivors of this event. I simply owe the Lord and Dr. Zellner my life and the joy of seeing my grandchildren grow up. Now 7 years later, at age 78 all is well and I remain active. In my eyes, he is absolutely the best.

Dr. Zellner did an excellent job on my husbands surgery. He feels wonderful.

In early 2018 Dr. Zellner performed the TAVR procedure on my heart to repair work done ten years ago by another very good surgeon. While I realize no one is perfect, in the same breath I can truthfully say I have no complaints with Dr. Zellner. He explains and answers questions, does what he says he will do excellent follow-up. The office staff has always been kind and caring...no complaints about them. Another plus....Dr.Zellner will make drawings to explain and help me better understand what I have ahead of me. ++he CAN draw!! I understand what he is drawing and it helps me understand the procedure. This is a first for this senior.

I recently had aortic surgery on August 14, 2017. I was discharged on August 17th. My initial visit was very informative and straight to the point. Dr. Zellner answered my every question & concern. Highly recommended him to anyone.

Dr Zellner performed a quadruple bypass on me. The surgery was flawless and the post op care and follow up treatment have been outstanding in every way. Highly recommended.

It has been almost a year since Dr. Zellner made me a "bona-fide" member of the zipper club. If he hadn't, I would not be here to write this today. Thank you for your compassion and for saving my life.
