Very knowledgeable and current physician. Is able to evaluate the problem and offer effective solutions. Great resource for referral and meeting all needs of the patient-well rounded thought process with the ability to see each individual patient and their personal health issues and provide treatments that actually improve their quality of life and/or medical issue.

Bedside manner is terrible. 4 visits and blamed mis-diagnosis on other factors.

With COPD and lung cancer at age 82, Dr Ruiz was so caring that even after entering Hospice care, my mom still wanted to see him. Dr. Ruiz was great at calling me (700 miles away) and always did so promptly and was never hurried. Great guy, great doctor!

Dr. Ruiz was my physician while admitted at Toledo Hospital for almost 2 weeks. I saw him nearly every day I was there, and every day he came in, sat down, and talked with me to ensure I was up to date on absolutely everything happening with my care. He always gave plenty of time for me to ask questions. What I loved most about Dr. Ruiz is that he is very straightforward with you, but in a very kind and compassionate way. He is an excellent physician and I highly recommend him to anyone needing a pulmonologist.
