Dr. Jamie Bhamra

Dr. Bhamra just saw for an emergency case for my uveitis. My family dr referred me to Rockyview and I was denied. Vector Eye Centre got me in within 24 hours. I have inflammation in both eyes and I am diagnosed with uveitis and using steroids. Dr. Bhamra explained everything and told me why I need medicines, what the chance of improvement is (high, so I am reassured) and order blood tests. I was so scared, down and out when I was rejected by the on call doctors. Thank god, I was able to see Dr. Bhamra as he does many things and he is also a uveitis specialist as his staff mentioned as I was leaving. Feel fortunate and lucky

Dr. Bhamra literally changed my life. I had cornea transplants 20 and 25 years ago. I have seen a multitude of specialists of the cornea. All stated nothing could be done with the shape of my eyes. Dr. Bhamra evaluated and did some advanced testing. He happily leaned over and told me a contact lens, a simple contact lens, would help. Well, did it ever! I was fit with a scleral contact lens and my vision with glasses was 20/200 in both eyes. I now see 20/40 and 20/25! For 20 years I could have seen better. I am frustrated from my previous opinions, but so grateful for Dr. Bhamra's idea. I also do not need new cornea transplants as per my Optometrists recommendations. Unbelievable turn of events and my life and my wife and family's life has changed because of this small but big change for me. Of course, I am recommending Dr. Bhamra to everyone.

Just met Dr. Bhamra for cataract surgery as a second opinion. He stated I can wait and I did not need it yet. I felt very safe and reassured by his confidence and all the great things people in his waiting room said about him. I have found the person who will do my surgery when I am ready.

Dr. Jamie is the best eye doctor I have ever met. He treated my mother for cataracts and my Dad for dry eye. Her surgery went perfectly and he has no more eye complaints. His office and staff a great, efficient and well run. I would recommend seeing him. We will miss you Dr. Jamie as we no longer have to see you again, as you said both of my parents are great.

Excellent service. Even better Surgeon. His centre, Vector, did dry eye testing for FREE when other centres wanted 150 dollars an eye. We used low cost treatments as it wasn't in my budget. I am happy about this as the other 2 centres wanted money from me for dry eye treatments. I am scared of all eye stuff. He is great to see if you are worried or scared about eye surgery. Dr. Jamie has a kind, calm but still is happy and energetic. My cataract surgeries were quick and painless and I don't need glasses for the distance. I went for the lens you don't pay for and I still see 20/15 in the distance. I only need reading glasses. Dr. Jamie is GREAT! I look forward to my next visit with him.

I was diagnosed with cancer and had a bone marrow transplant. My whole body has been fighting against me since. I lost my vision and had no comfort in my eyes. My Ophthalmologist in Red Deer tried to help for 3 years. I to referred Dr. Bhamra. I can see again! My eyes are no longer the first things I wake up thinking about and no longer the last thing I think about before I go to sleep. Amazing!

Amazing and gifted surgeon. Husband and I both underwent cataract surgery for new Multifocal IOLs. He is the best doctor that we have ever met and we feel blessed and honored to meet such a down to earth, kind, fun-loving doctor.

Talks a lot, answered all questions, explains thoroughly. Up-to-date on all my eye problems. Very happy with my cataract surgery results. 20/20!

Awesome Ophthalmologist! Really cares... went to him a three years ago. He is from Canada. Knew more than anyone there. I was supposed to have surgery... but he came up with safer options and I can still see 20/20, three years later! I am so lucky to have been under his care! Thanks Dr. B... wherever you are now!

We really like Dr. Bhamra. He is a great cornea fellow at UCSF and we have seen many fellows in our visits to UCSF. He is very patient, confident and knowledgeable. He really listened to my mother's concerns and presented new options that we may be able to try to help her see better and help improve her life. Now, we have a new plan and she is very happy and excited to try to see better.
