Dr. Jamie Lynn Feldman, MD

I went to Dr. Feldman on a referral from my regular doctor. It took me a long time to make the appointment since she is not in my insurance network. I told her that I was unable to reach orgasm. She chalked it up to my “ lack of experience”. Although I am a devout Catholic, I have not been perfect. I’m guessing most people whether sexually active regularly or not, have experienced pleasurable genital feelings whether by accident in the shower or by choice. So she came to the conclusion that it was more of a mind over matter deal than physiological. I asked her if we could try physical solutions first. She prescribed estrogen suppositories. My husband and I practice “Natural Family Planning”. I know it’s not for everyone and not every doctor has it as part of there practice. However, I thought she would be able to tell me if this would effect what my cervical mucus would look like. She said that that wasn’t in her wheel house. I’m guessing she meant NFP which I… understand. However, a doctor in sexual health should know about cervical mucus! She also forgot to inform me of the dangers of estrogen suppositories to women if they get pregnant and/or fetuses. That shocked me! Thank goodness for the pharmacist. I felt discriminated against, judged, and not listened too. I also felt like she lacked in her responsibility to tell me of side effects. I won’t return.

Dr. Jamie is wonderful. She is the first doc to really listen to me. I appreciate her obvious brilliance and knowledge of my condition. I also appreciate that she respects me. A great doc!

I saw Dr. Feldman a couple of weeks ago for issues regarding exhaustion. I saw her a few months early for the same problem where she told me I had to "take something off my plate" to get my sleep cycle back in line. At that time, I rearranged my schedule and it seemed to help.As the months went on my life circumstances changed and my sleepless nights increased. However, I was sticking to my usual routine of working out hard 5 days week, working full time, etc.I went to see Dr. Feldman hoping she would listen to my ideas of what I believed is wrong and how I can rectify it. Big mistake, she basically told me I needed to take meds as "there's no way coming back from this" without them. I started to cry because I just knew she wouldn't listen to me. I believe from all the stress I was under I was in the beginning stages of higher levels of cortisol. I checked with trainers at my gym, health coaches and the like and they agreed. She looked at me and said to my face "I can tell by looking… at your face you don't have high cortisol". Really? I tried explaining I train like an olympic athlete, ask anyone at my gym, and she wasn't hearing that. She told me "your're getting old. Get over it".Needless to say, I'll never go back to her because she won't listen to the person who know's their body the best. Thanks to the trainer's at my gym, my chiropractor, yoga instructor and health coach, I'm back on track.
