Dr. Jamie W. Odom Jamie W. Odom D.M.D. is a dentist with over ten years of experience in offering comprehensive dental care and contemporary technology to his patients. With a focus on cosmetic solutions, he believes what separates his practice from other dentists is his recognition of patients desiring the convenience of having all their dental needs met in one location. Rather than being bounced from office to office with referrals, Dr. Odom will evaluate patients in one session, eliminating the need for several appointments with different doctors. Dr. Odom’s practice offers a sophisticated level of dental technology, one such example being the E4D CAD CAM, a computer that is able to digitally scan and design restorations (crowns, veneers, etc) in one visit …rather than requiring several appointments. Originally, a patient would come in and have a molding of their teeth taken which would then be passed to several people in order to create a restoration. It could take up to a month for the restoration to get back to the doctor. With this new technology, a treatment that would once have taken weeks to accomplish, is now able to be conveniently done in one. His training in this higher degree of service sets him apart from other dentists and allows his patients to save time while still receiving excellent dental care. In addition to superior technology, Dr. Odom and his staff, including an auxiliary with 30 years of experience, are equipped to treat dental emergencies the same day rather than making a patient wait in pain until an appointment is made. While all dentists are required through the state to have minimum of 30 hours continuing education, Dr. Odom dedicates around 100 hours to conferences around the country in order to keep up on the latest trends in cosmetic dentistry, with a focus on functional restorations. He also attends prestigious study group Vision Study Club based in Seattle, WA.  Dr. Odom is also a member of the ADA, FDA, PCDA, and the Academy of general Dentistry. Dr. Odom graduated with a BA in Chemistry from Emory University and went on to the University of Florida College of Dentistry, one of the premiere dentistry schools in the country. Dr. Odom is a Florida native and enjoys the sense of community accompanied with being a Gator. As a family man, Dr. Odom practices on children and understands the fear and anxiety that can accompany that, both for parent and child. He encourages parents to stay by their child’s side, even during procedures. His practice is located in Eastern Polk County in the small town of Dundee.
