Dr. Jamile Wakim-Fleming

Had a scheduled scope with Dr. Fleming for weeks at Cleveland Clinic. Rearranged my work schedule for the week, my driver scheduled PTO for the morning, and evening plans the night before were rescheduled and put on hold due to the early arrival time the next day for the scope. The day finally arrives in early Jan 2026 and only ONE HOUR before my arrival time time, her office calls stating "Dr. Fleming called the office today notifying us that she's not coming in and to cancel her scopes for the day". Been a pt for over 20 years at Cleveland Clinic and I've never experienced such an unprofessional action. CC is going downhill fast (has been for years). Please understand that these procedures are often scheduled when a patient is VERY ill and urgently needs a scope. When a sick pt waits weeks to see you to be scoped, at least take the time to find someone to cover for you that day (or have your office or the huge amount of Cleveland Clinic ressources take care of that for you). Now… we're all stuck rescheduling our scopes again and waiting a few more weeks. You're used to giving everyone advice on how to be and become a better person. Here's yours ... Do better.

This doctor is the most uncaring antiprofesional that existes in the Avon Location Jacobs Hospital!! I had an appt and when she came in she did not introduced herself to me , sat down looked at the computers monitor, put up her feet real relaxed like if she was at the beach Having a suntan. Did not explain the condition i had and all she had to tell me like if she was scolding me that i was fat and needed to lose weight. I will not be going back to her again!! Terrible Experience!!

Arrogant and short tempered. Completely unprepared about my conditions on last (of several) visit. Did not remember key information about my health. I traveled a long way and driver had to miss work, stay in hotel. Very disappointed.

Acted liked she didn’t know me at all the second visit. Only wanted to sell her book and had terrible bed side manners. I can’t believe she is in the facility she is in with the way she collaborates with people. She also doesn’t call patients back. Horrible experience.

Have seen Doctor Wakiem- Fleming several times, the last time I saw her if it were my first time it would have been my last, She was curt, almost on being rude. She certaintly has changed and not for the good.

The first appointment started off just fine. My father was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. Even though she acted a bit weird during the first appointment she seemed okay. He was explaining about why he went to the hospital walking downstairs at home and he got a sharp pain. She questioned my father why he was living upstairs in the hospital. Which obviously she wasn't paying attention at all. She explained to my dad that he could not work in his line of work right now and wrote a letter explaining he was unable to operate machinery due to starting blood thinners (since he has chronic blood clots in the liver and portal Venus system and blood count is critical) so that he could keep his job and receive short term disability through his work, so that he wasn't making absolutely no money. She kept questioning my dad about his "drinking" and that he needed to stop despite us explaining he almost never drank at all. Maybe a single small drink once every 6-12 months if any over the… course of the last 10 years. My father asked whether she would schedule a biopsy to check on how bad the liver actually was and was told that he would not survive the operation. The next appointment was scheduled over a month later which my dad had some concerns and questions and tried getting a hold of her and her nurse but was unable to do so for 3-4 weeks. The next appointment we still haven't had any treatment or any direction to what we were doing. My father needed her to fill out another paper so that he could extend the short term disability through his work and keep his job, which she proceeded to argue with him thinking he wanted to be taken out of work forever. After arguing with her for 15-20 minutes to get her to realize that is not what he wanted. She explained she didn't have time for this she has other patients she needs to see. She explained she was going to schedule him a biopsy despite just the previous appointment saying he wouldn't survive it and nothing has changed since then. My father explained this to her and she looked at him like he was making it up and said he would survive it. So right there we are at a loss whether or not to trust her and whether or not he would survive such a procedure with his blood counts as low as they are and the doctor contradicting herself. After leaving the appointment we received a phone call saying she was dropping my dad as a patient. My father a day or 2 later after getting her to finally call him back apologized despite him not doing anything wrong just so he didn't have to start over with another doctor many months away. She still flat out refused to fill out any paperwork whatsoever involving anything. She only wanted to do the operation for the liver replacement and that was it. My father lost his job due to her refusing to do her job. And she is refusing to fill out the paperwork of his diagnosis to send in to unemployment so that he has some sort of income. He called in said he wanted to speak to her in the morning and wanted to get it signed. We received a phone call shortly after today from the police saying if we showed up without an appointment at the Avon Clinic we would be arrested. So not only is she not doing anything to treat my father, she is maybe scheduling him for procedures that could result in him not surviving we don't know since she wont give us straight answers. Then calling the police instead of simply doing her job and signing a paper saying he's unable to work doing what she took him out of work to begin with. So now we are currently struggling to pay bills. Being forced to move with the possibility of us becoming homeless simply because the doctor didn't want to do her job. Needless to say we are not happy with the situation. Why get into medicine if you don't like people.

She is more worried about selling her book than her patients. She treated me like an uneducated liar, in various areas. Even questioning my education (I did not go directly to college after highschool, I raised my son and then went back, working on my college degree). This was unfathomable to her. She refused to treat my liver disease until my liver becomes damaged, it seems I've caught my liver disease to soon? I have never met a Dr. that says you caught that to soon. Usually the sooner the better but I guess the sicker you are, the more treatment you need, the more money she makes. I would not recommend my worst enemy to this narcisstic quack. RUN!!!
