Dr. Jan Jacob Dekker, MD

i liked dr. decker very much. he is serious and gentlemanly, with a nice sense of humor. and he'a effective. he operated on me for LCIS almost 10 years ago, and I've had no problems since. i hearti;y recommend him.

Had my thyroid removed with Dr Dekker. He is a fantastic surgeon who has great bedside manner. He was very patient and answered all of my questions. Surgical experience was fantastic. I am very pleased with my experience and would recommend Dr Dekker to any of my friends or family.

Dr. Dekker refused to acknowledge a post-surgical complication for over a week, refused to write an order for my regular medication while I was hospitalized for said complication and discharged me from the hospital with a rapidly dropping hemoglobin for which he had no explanation. When asked, I was told to follow up with my regular doctor to see what “vitamin” would help!

Had post surgery complications to which he has no memory of. He couldn't even remember who I was or what I was seeing him for 3 days after my surgery. He thought I was there to have my stitches out...failed to remember to send bloodwork requests in anywhere, couldn't even remember what blood tests were needed.

Dr. Dekker is the most kind doctor I have met. I had a horrible and very painful abscess on my back and he took care of me...even though I don't have an insurance and still saw me 4 times (replacing my gauze)after my initial visit. I am very thankful..

He is the most wonderful caring physician I have ever encountered. When I needed my gallbladder out, he did a late surgery (after 4 p.m.) I was out of the hospital by 7 p.m. This procedure was virtually painless. I highly recommend him.

Over a 20 year period, Dr. Dekker has performed three surgical procedures for me. I could not be more satisfied with his work, manner and professionalism.

I have no comings about Dr. Dekkers abilities. My issue is with the very long wait times with my appointments. On a 3 of my visits I have had to wait at least 45 min to be seen even when I am the 1st paitent in the office. The longest wait so far has been 1 hr 45 min. This is in acceptable. Every min over that I wait pushes my entire work day. Improvement in this area needs to be a priorit.

Excellent physician

Bedside manner, care and ability sucks. Prescribes RX that cause allergic reaction AFTER informed of allergy. Then suggested see what happens. This is an infection after surgery and he wants to "see what happens" going into the weekend end people can't be reached. Guy is a quack
