Dr. Jan Holley Petri, MD

Absolutely horrible. Dr. Petri was dismissive, rude, and did nothing to help me. She started by telling me that the medication I was on, a medication for a problem completely unrelated to why I was there and what she treats, was wrong and not necessary (this medication had no effect on why I was there in the first place). I have seen several doctors in several places and they have all agreed that this medication was good for me, and it has improved my life significantly. She then took five seconds to look at my ears (which was the whole point of me going there) and told me there was nothing wrong and nothing for her to do. I was referred to her by my PCP, so obviously someone thought there was something wrong, but Dr. Petri did not seem to care. I will say that the audiologist, nurse, and receptionist were all extremely pleasant and component, but Dr. Petri’s behavior unfortunately overshadowed theirs. Now I am upset, embarrassed, and still left with pain and pressure in my ears and… vertigo. Avoid this place if you want a doctor that treat you with dignity and respect, and actually fixes your problem.

Dr. Petri is gentle, patient and explains everything to you. She is good and thorough.

My husband and I had our first appt last week with Dr Petri and she was great. She was so kind, informative, and took great care and concern for us. She thoroughly explained our issues in simple, easy and understandable terms and she’s a super great communicator. Her caring demeanor and kindness were extraordinary. She listens intently with patient issues/problems, then she thoroughly explains what procedures and steps she would recommend. Yes, most definitely my husband and I would recommend Dr. Petri most highly and without any reservation. If you are looking for an astute, amiable, highly qualified and super friendly Otolaryngologist, you won’t be disappointed with Dr. Petri.

Dr. Petri was congenial, professional and very thorough in examining my ailment. She explained all aspects of my problem and best treatment choices. Also prompt in beginning the appointment on time as scheduled

I am down the middle on her, one time I saw her, she was ok but the next time she was confused like others have mentioned. I think she is a smart lady and obviously a good dr. but something is wrong here. She books too many patients, is in a hurry, wants more $$$ , I don't know. she has a new office with a NP who appears to be very good. I went to the NP, was pleased, got in and out quickly . The office is in Collierville and is close. I think so many physicians now are rushed, want more $$$ all of the above. I don't know. Time will tell, its a small office.

This place is awful. Employees are super rude and all they want to do is sell you some sinus surgery which they will stalk you about getting. First visit I felt like I had a sinus infection but they wanted to sell me the surgery. Had a CT scan, didn't have a sinus infection and they STILL tried to get me to do the surgery. Complete scam.

I have seen Dr. Petri 3 times and will not be seeing her again. Each time she was running over an hour behind schedule. If you do not have a couple hours to spend at the doctor's office, I recommend finding a different doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Petri for years. She is an awesome Dr. She has taken care of both my daughter & myself. She cares about her patients & very professional.

Their files are not in order. Dr Petri was confused about diagnosing me previously because apparently they have lost part of my chart. Because she couldnt find a note in my chart from one of my previous visits, she acted like I didn't know what I was talking about and didnt believe me. She said she did not diagnose me with shingles in my ear, because it was not in the chart. Really....? I know with absolute certainty that she did. She is the only one I have seen. But I will not see her again. This is the third time I have seen her in three years with the same problem and she acted like she never even saw it before....

Was a real pleasure to meet her and recognize her caring spirit and her professionalism.Her office staff was friendly and easy to get along with.
