Dr. Jan W Pickett, MD

I saw him in 2020 after my Dr retired. I came in to have him check my urine. I wound up getting a chest x-ray among other things .I had just gotten a full checkup with my Dr that replaced my doctor that retired. I have never been so insulted and disrespected in my life. I thought it might be me. I talked to other patients in the waiting room at different times.They all said the same thing. Most of the patients he see are mostly medicaid so that explains how his office stays open. I am glad I had a choice that I could find another dt.

I saw him in 2020 after my doctor retired. Was rude and disrespectful. Did a chest X-ray when alli was there was a urine test. I thought it was me but I had several waiting room conversations about his lack of respect for patients. A lot of people that go their cause really good Drs don't accept Medicare.

Friendly ladies in office but doctor is rude and just odd. They seem to cram more and more people in which causes them to be super behind. Waited for almost 2 hours to be seen.

Office is under new staff and they are absolutely incredible. The receptionist goes above and beyond in every way possible to help you with anything and everything no matter how busy she is with being back and forth on the phones. All of the girls there are just so friendly and helpful.

Im not a real good Dr. Person period! Bad luck with most since 1999 injurt at Home Depot. Everyone at this office is like family and it's not easy 4 me to say i gotta go only when he forces me so i gets nerve pill. I know pain and bad Dr's and Dr. Pickett I love and Thank you for takin care of mefor the last 7 year's you have grown to feel like family 2 me.

Dr Pickett and his staff are the most caring individuals, each one with his or her own caring and compassionate views. Work well as team players! I recommend highly

So I called because I needed to get checked out from a car accident ten days ago. I don’t have a pcp. I told them exactly the purpose of my visit on the phone. They gave me an appointment. I left work early to make it in time and had to arrange for my son to be picked up by someone else. I wait for an hour, during which I saw assessments of patients happen in the freaking hallway and I could hear and see everything. What is worse is that they told me they can’t treat me because they don’t want to get involved with my accident and lawyer (that I cleeeeearly stated when I was making my appt) and they shouldn’t have made an appt for me. Now the ladies at the front were nice. But other than that, no one freaking smiles! I don’t like that my privacy and other patients privacy was violated. The doctor wouldn’t even come see me although I saw him in the hallways. Not once did he smile or look at me. He just saw my RN badge and just ignored me. I can’t believe I wasted 2.5 hours of drive… time and clinic time to not be seen and treated like that. I walked out and was disappointed and appalled by the consistent display of violations. I was hoping by this appointment I would find a physician for myself from here on out but looks like I’m not wasting any more of my precious time at this place.

Worst experience ever!!! Would never recommend this doctor unless there is no other doctor to go to. I'm not sure how this doctor is even still legally allowed to practice. Nurse started asking why I was there. Dr walked in and abruptly interrupted the 'nurse' to ask what was wrong for which I said there are several things going on right now but the first is back pain. Dr immediately walked me out of the one patient room office (w/o hearing all of my symptoms) into a back room to take x-rays. Dr started the x-ray process then walked out. Then the 'nurse' came in and tried to finish taking x-rays. Unfortunately, the nurse didn't know how to use the x-ray machine so the doctor luckily (for her) came back to help her. The doctor then asked if i wanted a cortisone shot. I said no, then the dr asked if I wanted a strong pain medicine. For which I said no again. The dr then asked why I was there. I said I would like to explain all my symptoms that I have experienced over the… last couple months so that hopefully a doctor can give me some direction as to what might be going on. I was then led back to the patient room (which had dead spiders and webs here and there, cracks in the walls). The dr, which seemed annoyed (that he couldn't leave early on a Friday afternoon) asked what my symptoms are. I explained and the dr asked for blood to be drawn and tested internally as well as a urine test. The nurses seemed to not know how to draw blood as it took two of them on both attempts. Meanwhile the dr was out somewhere. The dr came back when the internal blood results were completed. He read off the test results by name as if i knew what any of them were. Then said I seemed annoyed that the tests came back normal. I explained no, I'm not annoyed I'm concerned cause I don't know what's going on. He then referred me to a specialist. Overall this doctor and his office staff were not professionally dressed (no scrubs, jean shorts with flip flops and dr wearing baggy low hanging jeans). The doctor had the worst professionalism, finishing his lunch walking out of his office while I walked into the patient room, cutting off his nurse's questions, asking me one question before heading straight to x-ray room, and took a phone call while in the x-ray room saying he was on his way somewhere. As well as all the other stuff above. Will never go back and suggest that no one ever go there.

The staff at Dr. Pickett's office was very kind. However, Dr. Pickett's bedside manner was rude and disinterested. When he told me diagnosis in medical terms, he told me to look it up on the internet if i wanted to know more about it. The examine room was also not very clean. Not all of the staff was dressed appropriately; the woman that drew my blood was in jeans and a sweatshirt so I couldn't even determine if she was qualified to draw my blood. I will not be going back to this doctor.

This place is awful. I would never return as a patient, Its dirty, I waited an hour and half and his bed side manor is even worse. A month and a half later I still don't have my results. this was honestly the worst experience I've ever had.
