Dr. Jane Lynell Ahearn, MD

My wife went to Dr Ahearn for several years with erratic periods and nothing the doctor did helped...as a matter of a fact my wife's problems got WORSE with each visit. After my wife ended up in the ER from excessive bleeding Dr Ahearn told us with all confidence that she needed a COMPLETE hysterectomy & wanted her to make an appointment for the procedure as soon as possible. I went to an appointment with my wife to discuss treatment options & was shocked when the doctor could not answer my questions. When we left I told my wife she should look for a different doctor. A few days later she saw another doctor who was horrified at the levels of hormones Dr Ahearn had my wife on. She changed my wife's birth control and bam...within 48 hours my wife's health was completely restored. Thank god we did not allow Dr Ahearn to perform a hysterectomy that my wife clearly did not need. After YEARS of appointments with Dr Ahearn which only served to make my wife's situation worse it only took… ONE visit with a different doctor to get her health..and life... back.

She knew I was awaiting to be seen and had arrived 20 minutes earlier then my schedule appointment. She not only kept me waiting, but I had to pop my head out my waiting, unclothed from the waist down, after an hour of waiting, and all she said to me is, "yeah, yeah, I will get to you in a moment". Really?! Is that how she treats her patients, let alone a new patient?! That left a sour taste in my mouth and I will find myself another Gynecologist!

Dr. Ahearn is judgemental of sex lives that do not take place within a (straight) marriage. She also recommends procedures that are expensive and overly aggressive, when the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology has abandoned those guidelines years ago. I left her practice.

Dr. Ahearn preformed my hysterectomy a few years ago. She and her staff were amazing, knowledgeable and caring. She tried every modality that was appropriate for me prior to the major surgery.

19 years ago, Dr. Ahearn delivered my daughter after a high-risk pregnancy that followed 3 miscarriages. It was a stressful and frightening time. She was so amazing. In fact, she was so amazing that, now that my daughter is an adult, she has begun to see her.
