Dr. Jane Diesner Allen, MD

Rated a 3 on follow up after visit because there really wasn't any reason to follow up. Everyone is very nice and seems to really care, they listen and that is key. Would highly recommend seeing anyone in this office. Everyone is very professional.

Dr. Allen is personable and laidback. Takes time with you during visit. So far has not conveyed that she thinks pregnancy/delivery is a medical crisis. After meeting with other doctors, realized she is my favorite at the practice. Experienced one problem: I moved and live 40 minutes away from the office. I took the morning off to come to the appointment and after sitting in traffic and was finally 5 minutes away, got a phone call from office staff saying that they had to cancel because Dr. Allen was on call and delivering a baby. The office staff did not try to remedy the situation and when I asked they could not have another doctor see me. This was frustrating but I understand the urgency of delivering a baby. When you make an appointment at the practice, ask who the doctor is and if they are on call that day. Request an appointment with a doctor who isn't on call for a better likelihood that you will keep your appointment.

Before I switched doctors (away from Dr. Allen) it could sometimes take months to get an annual appointment. She does not get back to you with results, she does not speak with you personally. Did not feel welcome. Would not go back. Would not have children at her hand.

Dr. Allen saw me through a difficult pregnancy where I was definitely "high maintenance" but she always was patient, thorough, and reassuring. She delivered my daughter and it was an amazing birth experience - Dr. Allen's bedside manner, attention to detail, and reassuring words made me feel very well cared for. I have referred family and friends to Dr. Allen again and again. She is the best of the best - I would trust my life in her hands completely.

Please ladies, don't use Dr. Jane Allen ever, if you care for your health at all. I had an emergency c-section by her uncaring hands. She tore my urethra where I lost a lot of blood. To stop the blood flow during surgery, she stuffed my vagina with surgical guaze and forgot to remove it! Two weeks later, I was coming down with 103.6 level fevers, chills and bodyaches and not knowing why. Her office said I was probably just exerting myself too much and dismissed it when I called. She hadn't even asked me to come in for a follow-up. Thankfully, I went to my urologist for a follow-up to make sure my urethra stitches were healing. My urologist found the stinky piece of guaze stuck in my vagina for two weeks that was causing bladder and kidney infections. As I write this, I'm back in the hospital, being treated for this infection that was caused due to Dr. Allen's negligence. PLEASE don't use her. If you need more information, contact me.

I went to see Dr Allen because I was having uncomfortable symptoms & wanted to be checked before a 3 day weekend. I went Thurs morning and she told me the test results should be back the next day. I called the office early afternoon the next day after not hearing anything to find out the closed at noon. Monday was a holiday; so Tues morning I called the office to find out that my test results are there but only Dr Allen can give them to me and she's not in until 2:30. I left my cell # and it is now 4:45 and I have not heard from her. My symptoms are also worse now. I am very frustrated with the attitude I get from receptionists, nurses & Drs at this practice and don't plan on continuing to be a patient there.

Dr. Allen is wonderful. I recommend her to all of my friends. I never feel rushed during appointments. She always takes the time to answer all of my questions. She delivered my daughter and it was such calm, wonderful experience. She always makes me feel at ease.
