Dr. Jane Marie Bridges, MD

Dr Bridges is very well qualified and educated in her field, however, at times she over steps her bounds.

One of the best drs. i've been to ever.

Dr. Bridges is the best diabetes doctor around. If you do what she tells you, your disease will be in better control. She just guides me but it is my responsibility to do what she recommends because it is MY disease.

I could not ask for a better doctor for my diabetes than Dr. Bridges. She takes the time to understand what is going on and is so knowledgeable.

Zero bedside manner, rude and very detached. She spends maybe 5 mins with you.

My 20 year old daughter has type 1 diabetes. We are very educated in this disease. We're new to the area so needed a doctor. Dr. Jane Bridges was not nice, didn't listen to my daughter, gave her instructions that were incorrect. Instructed her to inject fast acting insulin without counting carbs. That can lead to low blood glucose levels. She is not a doctor I would recommend to anyone. Even the educated.

Doctors in my area hate her as she talks awful to them. One eye doctor says that he is so glad she is 50 miles away from him. Another foot doctor says he never had a professional person talk to him like that. I watch my diabetes and keep a close check on it. She kept saying it would get worse, and when it didn't, she was mad, as I guess I proved her wrong, and she is never wrong in her opinion. I was told by nurses at the hospital that she only wants men and immigrants. If you are a woman forget it. I learned a lot of things that were helpful in her office during the years. Used to love going there as it was a fun place. Suddenly things changed, and even nurses that were there for years disappeared. Staff says they don't know what to expect day to day. One day she comes in happy, the next day grouchy. Something must be wrong in her personal life to change so suddenly.

Dr. Bridges is a very careing dr who with experience knows exactly what n how to treat your illness. However...her no bones approach means if you do not want to improve and follow what she says....hit the road Jack. There are others who will follow and do not waist her time....she is very kind to my mother...I command her for her compassion in this field of medicine.

Only likes young people. Forget it if you are older. No bedside manner!!!!!!!She acts bipolar. Sometimes nice , next time awful.

My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 9 and has been seeing Dr. Bridges since that time and is now 12. She came very highly recommended by many Doctors in the Evansville area as well as Indianapolis where a family member is a Doctor. Dr. Bridges gets a bum wrap for her bedside manner. Yes she is direct and to the point. If you can not take your health seriously she will. Dr. Bridges is a very educated Doctor who can only give you the tools to take care of yourself. It takes those tools, education and due dilegence to manage Diabetes. To sum it up, she can not help you unless you help yourself. I think some times she becomes overwhelmed by some patients lack of care for themselves. Her staff is beyond wonderful. She has made a point to surround herself with well trained staff many of which suffer from Diabetes themselves. Advanced education and training for her patients is a very high priority for her. It is a shame that we have not found a cure yet. Until that… day comes I would recommend her to any one that suffers from this devastating disease.
