Dr. Jane Georgiana Butlin, MD

I never doubted Dr. Butlin when she say don’t worry i will give u something to make you feel better and she does.

I was referred to Dr. Butlin as my last Dr. was not seeing patients anymore at Pearl St. and i wanted to stay with that building. I am so glad I did, it took me quite a while to book an appointment with her, but i was having a lot of trouble sleeping and went to her for lab work, etc. She did not want to give me any medication right away as she did not (know me yet). which i was very happy to hear as medication was not what i was there for. She took the time to talk with me, as i was really not very comfortable with Physicians. She struggled to get me to stop smoking and lose weight. (one out of two is not bad) still need to lose weight. She is so caring and NEVER rushes and she is thoroughly honest with you. She cares about your life, health, family history, too much to mention. I never remember having any issues with her staff either. I honestly don't know what i will do if she leaves. I have a cardiologist, thanks to Dr. Butlin being very concerned and she has literally… saved my life due to her catching the symptoms and referring me to a cardiologist. I could go on and on, but she is the best of the best. Thanks Dr. B.

I received a phone call from the Dr herself stating she thought I should find another Dr because I missed an appointment (I had canceled three days prior) because I was in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant. I’m fast forward to this summer and I made an appointment for yearly physical and when I got the confirmation text I hit “reschedule” because my aunt had passed away the day prior and the services were that morning. I then received a call from the office stating they would like me to find a new doctor because I have had to reschedule twice in 7 years. Fast forward to the present and I found a new PCP and have left three messages waiting to get my medical records transferred without a single call back.

I've used Dr. Butlin since approximately 2001. Very thorough and thoughtful over whatever issues I've had and usually ends up solving the problem. I don't believe she is involved in the hiring of office staff although I've found all but a couple to be pretty good. Would give her 10 stars if that was an option!

Doctor is always late with appointments and rushes out without answering any questions answers left unanswered. Staff was straight faced and rude making me feel uncomfortable. Very unprofessional. Poor interpersonal skills. Doctor will have a nurse call you with results and leave you in the dark about other options. Will cancel your appointment and reschedule it for two months out. Very poor service.

Dr.Butlin is my Primary Care Physician and she does an excellent job in our appointments. She has been my primary care for about 5 years and she is very thorough.

Dr. Butlin, is a great physician, however my experience in the last year or two has declined. I have been her patient for more than 12 years. The level of professionalism in her office, relating to staff at the front desk and the nurses, is lacking severely

Dr. Butlin is an excellent diagnostician. She is thorough during visits and with follow-ups. I have had a very positive experience with her in all aspects of my healthcare. Her staff has been abrupt at times.

Dr. Butlin now has a new receptionist...so maybe some of the complaints mentioned here won't apply anymore, her last one was rather abrupt. It is hard to get an appointment with her, even if you are sick, so I always use her nurse practitioner as a back up if I need to be seen. I like Dr. Butlin, I've been seeing her for about 12 years. She is very empathetic and compassionate. I find her to be well informed and she really wants to solve your ailments. She doesn't cut corners and will order tests and screenings to be safe. Only negatives I have found in my experiences with her; when she comes back in the room with the diagnosis or scripts, she leaves the door open and is sorta half standing in and out of the room, so it makes me feel rushed like I can't ask further questions and it's embarrassing because people in the hall can see/hear. Also, follow-ups don't really happen. I'll have tests done for something and if things come back negative, I just get the call from her nurse… saying "everything is fine," but no follow-up information or advice as to how my problem will be addressed.

OFFICE STAFF IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. WHEN CALLING OR AT THE OFFICE YOU ALWAYS FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IMPOSING ON THEM OR THEYH ARE IN A RUSH TO GET YOU OUT. FOLLOW-UP IS ALSO RUSH RUSH IF THERE IS ANY AT ALL.
