THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE AND DON'T CALL YOU BACK - SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!

She was totally uncaring and set back my recovery.

I recently had an appointment at Southwest Urology Associates and Dr. Hansen. To begin the experience I will state that Dr. Hansen's bedside manner and demeanor is less than appealing or one that instills any amount of confidence. From the paperwork to the attitude of her and the staff at SW Uroligy Associates I felt like my health was secondary to them being paid. After being abruptly told I needed a slightly invassive procedure that she wanted to perform on the spot with very little explanation (Dr. Hansen, "I could explain this for two hours and you still wouldn't understand.") I asked for a moment to consider the procedure. I read all the informational posters and undressed for the procedure. While sitting on the exam table I glanced at a counter top in the room that had a tool (presumably the tool that would have been used for the prodecure) and along side it was 3-4 peices of bloody gauze. I am thankful that I saw this before I allowed this procedure to be performed. It… really makes me wonder how clean anything in that exam room was. I dressed immediately and couldn't leave fast enough. A patient can live with the abrupt and rude manner of a doctor, although I don't beleive it is best practice, but the cleanliness of an exam room is of the utmost importance for the safety and well being of the patient. I highly recommend that you reconsider your appointment at this facility and with Dr. Hansen.

I took my elderly mother to be seen by Dr. Hanson. She treated my mother like an object rather than a patient. My mother has mobility issues and I was trying to explain that to the doctor who was telling my mother to move down further on the exam table and she could not. She did not get anyone in to come and assist nor did she offer. She did not explain the procedure and since it was an invasive procedure, she definitely should have. She was impatient and not very caring. She did not introduce herself to us. The only time she got close to my mother was for the exam. Furthermore, I was having difficulty getting the wheelchair out to the hall because the door was to heavy. The front office staff did not even offer to help even though they saw me struggling. One receptionist was seen on her cell phone. Needless to say, My mother deserves better. This office is not elderly friendly.

Dr. Hanson evaluated my condition, was thorough in her exam, did the appropriate tests, and gave me a lot of useful information for prevention. She did a procedure in the office that was pain-free. She and her staff were caring and communicative. I received excellent care. I was impressed with everyone I encountered, from the time I made the appointment to the exam and in followup.

I am thinking of dropping this doctor and go somewhere else for my surgery, she is fine however her staff are the rudest people I have ever dealt with so what will the after care be like, I cannot call her and get thru the wall of rude people to talk to her, I doubt I will stick with her

I felt as though this Doctor was trying to please an HMO instead of caring for me. Additionally, there was a problem with a prescription that was called in and they were overdosing me. Of course they blamed it on the pharmacy. Dr. Hanson never bothered to even call me about this matter. The nurse told me I have apologized what else do you want from me. NOTHING SUMS IT UP.

Dr. Hanson laparoscopically removed my right kidney on a Monday due to cancer. I was in Church on Thursday. She has always been friendly, cheerful and caring and has always taken enough time with me so that I can fully understand what is happening. My care has been excellent.

I never actually saw the doctor because the day of my appointment, she was not in. The address given me to report to was incorrect. The door was locked when I got there. The staff was rude, insensitive and uncaring. If Dr Hanson has such poor judgement as to have these people running her practice, I want nothing to do with her. I am a veteran of many years of medical treatments and appointments and scans etc but have never run into such a poorly run office as this.
