Dr. Jane Yana Kauffman, MD

Doctor Jane Kaufmann is a wonderful doctor. When I was having health issues, I was told to see a cardiologist and I decided to try Dr. Jane Kaufmann because she specializes in prevention of cardiac events. She is one of the best doctors I have seen, I found her to be competent, compassionate and committed. Dr. Jane Kaufmann is good at being understanding and taking the time to walk to through the problems you are having. I never feel rushed, she is very calming, also being compassionate and helping you overcome your problems. Luckily, I did not have any serious heart problems, the scanning was top notch but it was thorough and Dr. Jane Kaufmann was swift with explaining the results, and she has found some things for me to work so that I won't have problems in the future. Then Dr. Jane Kaufmann developed my care plan based on these scientific results as well as my input as the patient and her observations. She is able to explain in lay terms what is going on inside my body and tries… to involve me in my own health management. I feel I am in very good hands and look forward to getting better by following what she recommends me to do. I feel confident about the recommendation she makes for my healthcare. Her commitment to the patient's wellness is evident in her personal conduct and that of her entire staff. Dr. Jane Kaufmann is fiercely loyal to her patients and it is a very rare quality in doctors these days. The office staff are also very kind. I wish more doctor offices were like this. My husband recently passed away from ALS. For a long time nobody could diagnose his condition and he was rapidly loosing weight and energy. Dr. Kauffman took over control of his treatment, put him in a hospital and brought all the best specialists to diagnose my husband's condition. She persisted until diagnosis was made and appropriate treatment was provided. Although ALS is a progressive disease from which no one recovered, I believe that the efforts by Dr. Kuffman helped to prolong my husband's life, giving me and my children an opportunity to be with him longer. To the very end, Dr. Kauffman was there for us, providing us with her support and professional care. She is fiercely loyal to her patients and it is a very rare quality in doctors these days. I would highly recommend Dr. Kauffman to anyone who is looking for a competent and caring physician.

Our whole family uses Dr. Kaufmann. She is the most knowledgeable doctor ever. Strongly recommend without reservations.

Prescribed an extreme new drug for me which landed me in the hospital one month later from excessive water retention and a horrible rash. The side effect of the drug is fluid retention but she didn't increase my diuretic dosage to compensate. After my condition got worse due to her drug she told me there was no improvement possible and a hospice was my only choice. She even refused to take my calls about alternate medications. I have an alternate doctor now and am improving. She is not a healer.

I am a patient of Dr Kauffman for 5 years. My father is her patient for 15 years. She told me father long ago that he will need pacemaker but did not put it in until he really needed one, and he is doing very well at 79. I had infection in my heart (endocarditis) and nobody new for few weeks what is wrong until she saw me and diagnosed it right away. She immediately put me in the hospital and my infection was cured. they told me that in few weeks it codul be too late and I will need hert surgery or would be dead. Thank you Dr Kauffman.

She established diagnosis right away. The provious doctors did not have any idea what is going on. My friend underwent cardiac procedure and now is doing much better.

The office has warm and caring atmosphere. The staff is nice and professional.The Doctor is very experienced and highly intelligent. Besides of all bunch of necessary tests the Doctor is trying to get the broad picture of the patient's overall health by paying close attention to the patient's diet, lifestyle and habits.At the end of the visit you would get not only the clear explanation of the state of your health and a medication that might be needed - but a good and friendly advice that will improve the quality of your life.It does not end there - in a while you'll receive a phone call from the office, asking you how do you feel, are there any changes - for good or for worse, do you need any help, do you need another appointment, do you need any referrals, etc, etc...Excellent!Thank you!

An uncommunicative, abrupt physician. My impression is that Dr. Kauffman finds patient care to be a distasteful, unwanted imposition on her time. She was unreceptive to any medical history that the family could provide--which made an accurate diagnosis slower and more difficult.
