Dr. Jane X. Liao, MD

Jane X. Liao, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor of Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Liao’s primary clinical focus is the evaluation and management of drug allergies. As part of Montefiore Einstein’s Drug Allergy Center, she offers drug allergy testing in the Bronx, as well as additional sites in Westchester County.After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in biology and society from Cornell University in 2014, Dr. Liao earned her Doctor of Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine in 2019. She continued her medical training at the Yale School of Medicine, completing her internal medicine primary care residency in 2022 and an allergy and immunology fellowship in 2024.Dr. Liao’s research interests focus on drug and vaccine allergy. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed publications on COVID-19 vaccine reactions and medication allergies. She also focuses on unverified antibiotic allergies and …developing novel approaches to the evaluation of antibiotic allergies. She has additionally given numerous peer-reviewed poster presentations.Dr. Liao is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI).
