Summary
I grew up playing sports and played softball at Stony Brook University (D1) for 4 years. While playing in college I sustained injuries and spent time with orthopedic surgeons and PT which really initiated my interest in Orthopedics and showed me the importance of a good patient/provider relationship which I hope to have with our patients. Patient autonomy and providing clear education and treatment options to patients is of the utmost importance to the way I practice medicine. I became a provider, because I wanted to work directly with patients and work in a career that would consistently challenge me. Listening to patients concerns keeps be grounded and reminds me that patient autonomy is central to good medical care.
