Dr. Jane Feng Peng, MD

I canceled my appointment with her well in advance and she billed my insurance. All the reviews you read about her being crazy, unprofessional, and inexperienced are true. Stay away from her. I’m going to make sure they take your license away!

I’ve visited Dr Peng’s office twice with my dad. My sister or I always accompany him to his appointments. Our first encounter with Dr Peng was ok at best. She rushed through the consultation, as quickly as possible. She asked him several questions without leaving much time for him to reply. My dad’s mind isn’t as sharp as it once was, so these quick consecutive questions started to confuse him. Not to mention that Dr Peng’s thick accent wasn’t helping matters. Our second encounter with Dr Peng was far worst. Dr Peng questioned my dad just as she did the first time, not caring to really listen to his responses. At all of my dad’s doctor’s appointments I listen closely while simultaneously texting my sister about what‘s going on. My sister had questions of her own, as she works in the medical field and understands our dad’s condition better than I do. Dr Peng began getting frustrated with my dad’s rambling answers because my dad, was again, getting confused. I would think that… since she’s a neurologist, she’d understand his condition, but I guess I was wrong. She didn’t have any patience with him. Dr Peng’s frustration then turned to me because I was texting my sister. She rudely told me “I need to get off my phone.” I didn’t respond and continued texting my sister. Dr Peng became more and more frustrated with my dad’s long drawn out responses and again instructed me that “I need to get off my phone, you cannot be on the phone in here.” At this point I was done with the disrespect and let her know I would no longer be tolerating it. I informed her that the person I was texting was my sister who needed to know what was happening during the appointment. Finally I called my sister on speakerphone, so she could ask Dr Peng questions herself. Dr Peng refused to answer any of my sisters questions so I ended the appointment. To make matters worse Dr Peng is refusing to transfer my father’s records to another neurologist.

I have only had my 1st visit with Dr. Peng, however I was extremely impressed. I have a very serious and debilitating condition called “Myoclonus” it causes involuntary moving tremors through my whole body. Very little is known about this condition throughout the medical community. She asked a lot of questions and seemed genuinely concerned. She prescribed a medication that is known to help in the treatment of Myoclonus that has shown to be effective and said she wanted to see me the following week. I saw a huge difference within hours of taking the medication and the tremor calmed down so much that I was able to do things I had not been unable to unassisted for the last year and a half. I finally feel hope!!!!! I know there are other treatments such as physical therapy to aid in making a full recovery but she assured me we would get there. I can not express how grateful I am for having found her and hope that she will continue to work with me and help to find the answers to help me… reach a full recovery. Great Doctor, all other neurologist I have seen have not even shown a willingness to try to figure out a course of treatment. Thank you Dr. Peng!!!!!

I would give her less than a star if I could. I am trying to figure out the cause for the numbness and tingling in my extremities. My first visit was ok, ordinary questions and asking me to walk back and forth across the room to look for certain movements in my body. Upon completion, she advised I need to have an MRI of the brain and spinal cord, which I did. After returning for my follow-up, I advised her that my symptoms remain the same and nothing had changed. She asked me that and I told her the same answer 4 times. Following that, she advised that my MRI was normal, thus I said and asked what was the next step for me (in this journey)? She said, I have CareFirst and I could go to Georgetown or George Washington, they hey better treatment. Went back and forth for a while because I didnâ??t understand why I needed to see a new specialist until finally I got up, told her she wasted my time and took my money (co-pay). Everything she said, she could have said on the phone or from the… very first appointment. There was no reason for me to come into her office for a follow-up just for her to tell me to go somewhere else. I have since filed a complaint against her.

I have been seeing few neurologists for a year, finally I got my right diagnosis and my migraine has been resolved. Dr. Peng has profound knowledge and concern about my my condition. Her front desk is also very warm, the office is quite nice. My son is also her patient, first time in his life he achieved seizure free. We were told he has to live with seizures.

Very rude and unprofessional She tried to hit me with a hammer and called the police after I asked for a refund

Dr. Peng is very kind, caring, and considerate for her patients. My mother has been under her care so many years for dementia. My mother is 89 years old now and she is still functioning independently. We are so grateful to Dr. Peng's care.
