Dr. Jane Margaret Peters, MD

I recently saw Dr. Jane Peters for a female problem, she was very knowledgeable, kind, caring and spent time with me. She did not make me feel like another 'number or patient'. She listened to what I said and gave me all my options. Staff was very friendly. I would recommend her to family/friends, anyone.

Don’t waste your time with this one. If you’re looking to wait over an hour to be seen under 10 mins. by all means. The staff that works for her is great and all but Jane Peters is not very compassionate. When you express your health concerns with her it seems like it goes into one ear and out the other. She doesn’t care about her patients. I’m not sure why she even got into this field with an attitude like hers. First appt can be very tricky. She’ll act all nice and when you’re consistent with her and your appts that’s when things when go downhill. Very stressful. Does not provide any medical advices. Does not take any health concerns seriously. I would give her no stars if that was an option. She doesn’t even deserve one star that’s how disgusted I am by her by the way I was treated.

Jane Peters has made me feel so overwhelmed with my first child. Every appointment I would arrive 20 mins earlier, wait in the waiting room for another 20 mins and then get called to a room to chat with one of her nurses for another 5 min and she would come in for about 2 mins or less and that was that. Some of my questions were dismissed, rushed, or unexplained. She did not take the time to make me feel at ease. I came to her with a pain problem that she did not express concern or take immediate action like another doctor I seen afterwards. Turns out it was a big problem. And the other doctor apologized to me that I was not informed correctly by Jane Peters. I followed up with my pregnancy up up to 35 weeks until enough was enough. I luckily got seen by a new doctor, Andrea Miller at Avera McGreevy on 69th. She’s the best. She delivered my baby. Gave me a lot of helpful information. She listens to my problems. She genuinely cares. She’s attentive. I checked with ease with their… receptionist. Got seen within 5 mins or less. In and out. Doctors, patients, and everyone have lives. It’s important that both parties respect each other by arriving on time and communicating. I would not recommend Jane Peters if you’re a first time mom or any mom. Who has the time to wait almost an hour everytime to get seen for less than 2 mins?! I also had some issues with my son not growing properly and she would always say it’s fine, “it’s because your small” turns out it was not fine! Do your research first. This doctor probably takes on too many patients and is too busy to even address the real problems. She doesn’t wanna do things if it’s not necessary. When in fact it is necessary.
