Dr. Jane L Steiner, MD

Dr. Steiner is kind, caring, and an excellent Doctor. My only complaint is that the practice she is in is too big. The pharmacy coordinators are rude, and seemingly do not care about the patients. I have had much difficulty getting needed prescriptions filled in a timely manner. Also, you cannot get through to your Doctor on the phone. Messages only, and the phone system is abruptly turned off at five p.m. It seems like the majority of the practice only cares about seeing as many people as they can as quickly as they can. The almighty dollar is what is most important, with the exception of Dr. Steiner.

Jane is exceptional and understands. She listens and asks good questions. I have been seeing her 20 years.

Hooked my mother on so many prescription drugs, pick one and she most likely wrote a prescription for it (including Lithium!). My mother never really snapped back after and is still pretty much addicted. This is way back when Steiner was in private practice before internet reviews in the 90's. She pretty much loved having those clients come back for more drugs. Not sure why she's still practicing as of today actually... she has certainly ruined peoples lives in order to make a good living.

She took care of my ex wife. At the time, she was my wife with severe issues. The children were left out of the discussions completely, causing them to feel that they were the ones with mental illness. No family conferences were held and very little input from others sought- thus Dr Steiner was either totally cluless about the impact on the family-or she didnt care- neither of which is acceptable. STAY AWAY

I've been seeing Dr. Steiner for over 10+ years. I continue to see her because she knows her medications. You may have to wait a long time to see her but when you get into her office she gives you her full attention. I like that when she gives you new medication she starts you on a very low dose. Thanks to her I'm not feeling hopeless and depressed.

Dr Steiner goes far above and beyond the call of duty to give each patient careful consideration for individualized care. She has spent many hours of her own time examining my previous medical records or completing complicated paperwork on my behalf. Warm, open to questions, suggestions, yet VERY knowledgeable herself, I am grateful to be in her care. I knew immediately and have grown in the conviction that I would not ever want to change doctors!
