very understanding

I am very impressed with Dr Paul. From the moment I sat in the chair, she listened to everything I had to say. She let me speak, never made me feel rushed and was genuinely caring and understanding. She spent an entire hour with me (and I was 15 min late unfortunately) and explained what she feels I struggle with. I felt like she knew me more in 1 visit than my previous Doctor did in two years. I would highly recommend Dr. Paul to anyone needing a fantastic psychiatrist.

Dr. Paul is the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. She is so empathetic, and really takes time to talk to me about events and specific situations that lead to symptoms. I like how she doesn't jump to prescribe new meds or up dosages. I'm so grateful to have found her, and I definitely recommend her.

The patients that come to see Dr Janine may have issues, but beleive me this doc has issues of her own. I went to Dr Paul for PPD (Post Partum Depression) help after the birth of my child. As she listened to my issues, she casually scrolled through her Blackberry. This really didnt bother me at first, as long as I was getting the medicines I needed to get well and feel good with my baby. Fast forward 3 months down the road- Im at a new job, feeling better, and cant come during dr Pauls 10-3 hours anymore due to my work schedule. Well, she refused to refill my meds when I wanted to switch to a different doctor within the practice that had later hours- said I had to come see her first. Fine. Then, after I do some checking and find out there is another doctor at the Schaumburg practice that has later hours I want to see, I go to try to make an appointment. NO luck. Dr Paul apparently terminated my file, so I couldnt see any other doctor. Just because I couldnt make it for a followup with… her un-doctorly like 10-3 hours...who can make those kind of housrs? Certainly not people that work!!! I guess most of her patients must be rich stay at-home North Shore mamas...anyway no loss- I get a letter 8 months later she has changed her practice to incorporate "yoga" and is moving away from traditional meds...Sorry, how will yoga help all the women out there with a brand new baby going through what I went though those first few months? Save yourself the trouble and skip Dr. Paul....
