Dr. Janel Strah

Janel Strah, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the College of Optometry at The Ohio State University where she also completed her undergraduate studies in Biology that she received with honors. Dr. Strah is active in the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Ohio Optometric Association (OOA) where she is currently serving as the OOA Zone 1 Governor. Dr. Strah is also an Ohio State affiliated faculty member and enjoys being a clinical instructor to fourth-year students. With a background in science, Dr. Strah knew that her interests were to work outside of a laboratory setting. She especially likes teaching patients about their eye health and visual system along with overcoming any obstacle to meet her patients’ visual needs. Dr. Strah particularly enjoys working with patients of all ages and fitting specialty contact lenses, as they can be challenging but rewarding at the same time.
