Dr. Janelle A Roethemeyer

Waited 1 hour 10 min. to be seen by Dr. Rothmeyer. This was a 10:30 appointment, so she couldn’t have been that far behind with hours starting at 9:00.

My parents have been going to this doctor for many years. They talk to you like my parents and me like we are idiots. They don't follow thru on requests without multiple calls to their office. I tried to get my parents to change for years but they refuse to change even though they were frustrated with her and the office.

I am posting this review on behalf of my mother. My mother was diagnosed with a stroke that left her partially blind a few months ago. Dr. Roethemeyer ordered several tests to confirm the stroke and told my mother to send in her blood pressure readings every day. No one from the office has ever followed up with my mother and the staff seems annoyed when she calls to ask for clarification on the test results or to report her blood pressure readings. Her eye doctor has shown more concern than Dr. Roethemeyer. We recently discovered that there is post-stroke vision therapy that my mother could receive so we called Dr. Roethemeyer's office for a referral and were told by the receptionist that "she had never heard of that". They refused to give my mother a referral and said that if this therapy was real her eye doctor would have recommended it. So my mother is left half blind, unable to familiarize herself with her surroundings, walking into traffic if left to her own devices. A few… months ago she was completely independent and self-sufficient. The fact that there is a chance that therapy could help her cope with her condition but her own doctor's office isn't willing to entertain the thought. In all this time, my mother has never received a follow-up call from Dr. Roethemeyer herself, only speaking to staff that seem to have an attitude. I cannot tell you how shocked I am that in such an hour of need she would be treated this way by medical professionals. Disappointed doesn't even cover it.

A very caring & competent doctor. Is difficult getting an appointment because she is so busy but will answer concerns called in to the office. Easy to talk with.

The few times I've managed to see her, because you normally will only see the nurse practioner, she has brushed off any ailments I've been concerned with. She has rolled her eyes at me and once chided me for not having a tan in the summer. She has a harsh personality and will quickly prescribe you anything just to get onto the next patient faster. She is a terrible doctor.

Dr. Roethemeyer has been my doctor for over ten years now and she is excellent. The issues I see her for tend to be rather uncommon, and she has never failed in correctly diagnosing me. She actually takes time to make sure her patients are comfortable and spends a few minutes chatting. She is also open to any questions and answers them to the best of her ability. I would definitely recommend her.

A great doctor with a pleasant and caring personality and a good support staff. I would definitely recommend.

She's been my primary physician for 10+ years and my vote is she's one of the best. She has a great personality and comes into the exam room ready to talk with you, I always feel like I have her full attention. She has taken care of me during several hospitalizations over the years and I've always felt she really cares about what I'm going through. I'm glad she is a part of my medical care team.
