I am affiliated with an optometrist office in jacksonville, fl. When I called to get a medical release form from the office, the receptionist (or whoever schedules new patients) was INCREDIBLY rude and hostile on the phone. Under federal LAW charts and/or notes about a patient can NOT be released without a medical release form. Apparently this individual doesn't abide by these rules because she informed me and a fellow associate that we were "refusing" to send important information about a patient. Though I informed her that i would gladly fax over the information as long as I received a release form the receptionist was still incredibly rude. Unfortunately this patient will not be able to be seen at this facility because of issues like this for no reason. I wouldn't recommend anyone be referred to this office because they are rude and do not abide by HIPPA laws.

Dr. Betchkal is the most qualified Glaucoma specialist in Jacksonville. She is an amazing doctor who treats you with sincere respect. She is a fine, fine doctor.

I am so thankful that my Ophthalmologist recommended Dr. Betchkal for treating my ocular hypertension. When I am 90 and looking not just back, but around me, I know that will be because of the care and skill of Dr. Betchkal!

Dr. Betchkal is not only the very best professionally as well as very thorough, but she treats me with the utmost respect. I've been going to her for years, and she really IS simply the best all the way around!

Janet has been my Dr. since I was 2, she has become a part of my life and I can depend on her for much more than just being my eye doctor. She is so smart and has a genuine interest in me.
