Dr. Janet Gail Hansom, MD

I am a health care worker and have been very satisfied with this clinic and the urgent care. Faster service than at other clinics in this area and the Drs listen to you when you talk to them.

I like this clinic in general, but agree with a previous reviewer that Dr. Hansom is not interested in a patient being proactive about his or her healthcare. As a 45-year old overweight person with a family history of heart disease, Alzheimers, diabetes, and breast cancer who wants to take charge of my health and keep an eye on my risk factors, all she cared about was why I wasn't there for a pap. Her demeanor was adversarial from the moment she walked in the door, and she spoke to me as if I was a disobedient child instead of having a conversation with me as an adult.

One of the kindest, most considerate doctors I have had. She continued to call up and check on me even over the weekends and other time off work. Couldn't ask for a better doctor or sweeter lady.

Not pro-active, interested, or informed about any way to stay healthy other than the standard "get your mammogram" type of advice. If you would like a doctor who works with you to build your health, rather than just treating you after you get sick, keep looking.

I'm always waiting 20+ minutes after my appointment was suppose to start. When I am seen it is only for 1/2 of the actual time I am suppose to get to spend.

Dr. Hansom is one of the few doctors who listens and gives you the time needed without rushing you. She genuinely cares about her patients. Due to this you may find her wait times to be a little longer than normal. She is one of the few remaining physicians who cares more about quality than quantity! To me, that is worth waiting for.
