Dr. Janet Lynn Linton

I’m a college student and I needed medical records with my diagnosis. So I can get accommodations in school due to ADA. My GP also needed the paperwork and requested it 5 times and Dr. Linton ignored them. It was a huge deal. Dr. Linton’s office said they couldn’t give me my medical records for days straight. They gave me multiple excuses. I asked to speak to Dr. Linton and she got multiple people from her staff to speak to me instead. After a month of trying and driving up there I finally got my records once my lawyer contacted them and mentioned my HIPPA rights.

Dr. Linton, you've shown me life is so, so so, Very beautiful. Dr. Linton your female patient, also wants you to realize flowers bloom in a way of opening up stage, by stage. You have really as my God sent Dr. worked so very hard to keep me stable, thinking much clearer. Dr. Linton, Thank you for opening my mind, thoughts, trust that I can do this journey a long time to come, especially with the different meds. you've changed over and over until you found the right one for my medical treatment. Certain meds. went against at certain times, or caused side effects. Dr. you would always know when it did not agree with my body chemistry. Dr. Linton, again I truly thank you for showing how much you sincerely, cared and have shown me I now see why and how colorful, fertilized, healthy flowers bloom especially with rain drops falling on them. This is how I see ?? What the lord, Dr. Linton has help to see ?? the shining beauty within myself, guess what, this is a beautiful experience to… feel and know there is hope that life has to much to offer us. Please, please know seeking treatment and admitting U need it, is the first step to recovery, being truthful with yourself first, and Dr. will start your path to a process you both will have to work on. I scheduled with Dr. Linton, and psychiatric appointments aren’t next day, especially in this area so there was a waiting period. I waited MAYBE twenty five minutes. During that twenty five minute time period I decided to read these other reviews. I instantly was like this is going to be terrible. I’m 22, and this is my first time seeing an adult doctor for everything. She was the absolute KINDEST person. It was evident my anxiety was sky high, and she really made me feel comfortable. She let me explain everything from point A to point B, then she gave me feed back. She never interrupted me. When we were talking about my medicines I specified I wanted nothing that was addictive or considered a control substance. She exactly what I asked. Looked for safe options and made sure they would treat me properly. She made sure there were no drug interactions. She also made it a point to me if I experienced any side effects to call the office immediately. It was a pleasant experience through and… through.

I was very impressed my first time to visit with Dr Linton. She was very professional and thorough. Her knowledge of medications and their effect, both good and bad, was extensive. Being a healthcare provider myself, I can be picky and have high standards, but I was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Linton's professionalism and compassion. It isn't always easy to open up to a stranger about mental health, but she made it a lot easier than I had imagined. The lobby was pretty full on one of my visits, but there are two doctors there. I figure a full lobby is a pretty good indicator that the two of them, or least Dr. Linton is in high demand. I have already recommended her to several others including my family members.

Dr. Linton is great. I had no expectations of receiving counseling or hand holding, so when I saw Dr. Linton for the first time I wasn't surprised that questions asked were medication related. I went to resume a medication I had stopped, and when it didn't work for me I asked her about 2 others for the same condition and she explained the way they worked and the one she prescribed most because of success rate and assured me that if I didn't feel better we would find the right one or combination of medications. However, if I would have walked in wanting a diagnosis, I would have had no problem just saying that and if it were my child, I would have come in at least having read what I could about the issues and after a thorough exam by the pediatrician. At that point you should be able to address what you think is going on or what you hope isn't. Psychiatrists don't pull blood or order MRIs routinely-they observe behavior. I found Dr. Linton very compassionate when I told her my problem.… And just the fact that she's not willing to leave her 14 year old almost blind tiny Pomeranian at home alone shows that compassion. And after 1year and a half, I haven't waited more than 30 minutes and most of the time, get in very quickly. As for the office staff, they are all nice. If one wants you to know she has a tiny bit of power, ignore it, you pay her salary, don't let it in-you're there for your child. I had one sweet girl sort of talk down to me because one of the meds I called about being late for refill is controlled. She nicely informed me i had a contract with Dr. Linton and the med refill would have to wait until the appointment date, which was scheduled more than a week after it ran out. I replied that their obligation to that contract was to refill meds on time, therefore making sure patient's appointments were scheduled up to a couple of days before that happened. She said she didn'thave an earlier opening for me so I said I would be there as scheduled. When I checked my messages a couple of days later I had a message from the same girl with an appointment notification for the next morning. No biggie- just a little contract education needed.

Big waste of time and money! She has a mental condition herself! I tried to tell her about the side effects of all the meds she was giving me and she wouldn't even listen to me. She overbooks patients and I had to wait an hour and a half for a five minute appointment. RIDICULOUS!!!!!

The office staff member, Ashtyn, has got to be THE rudest individual we have ever encountered. She has a small bit of authority and makes sure that you know what that small bit is. Canceled appts w/o notification. Lied about mailing pertinent info w/over night delivery, instead sent it two full days later thru regular US Postal. The doctor is basically a walking script pad. Doesn't listen to patient. Writes script and off you go. AVOID AT ALL MEASURES!! RUN, do not walk to another dr!!

Not a bad Doctor, but habitually late. I thinks it's very rude and disrespectful to make patients wait over an hour plus at EVERY appointment.

This lady is a NUT! I would be better off getting my child a counselor from a fast food joint! Don't go to her!

This doctor was a big waste of my time and money!
