Dr. Janet C Mullings-Britton, MD

Dr. Mullings-Britton took over the patients from the wonderful Dr. Ebony Harris, with whom I had a positive experience for over ten years without any issues. I gave Dr. Mullings-Britton a fair chance, but I was ultimately left feeling disappointed and underwhelmed. While she is knowledgeable and skilled in her specialties, her bedside manner is lacking; she displays little compassion or empathy and tends to be very direct, which can come off as rude. Unfortunately, her staff—though a few exceptions exist—are often short with patients and, at times, outright rude. I had to reschedule my IUD removal twice: the first time due to a heart attack and the second time because I was exposed to COVID-19. Due to some miscommunication, her office did not receive the notice about my second cancellation. Instead of listening to my situation, she opted not to remove the IUD or allow me to reschedule, leaving me in a position where I must find a new doctor. Doctors are meant to improve our lives,… not add unnecessary stress or make us feel unworthy of care. Thankfully, I have a wonderful primary doctor who will take care of me moving forward. I would not recommend Dr. Janet Mullings-Britton or return to her practice, given how she and her staff (with the exception of one or two) have treated me during such a traumatic health ordeal. While you may be a doctor, you are not infallible; it’s essential to treat patients with respect, show grace, and demonstrate empathy.

Dr. Mullings has been a blessing to me and my family. She has those ol skool good core values and bed side manners are superb. I never felt rushed during my appts. My time was my time. She listen to all my concerns. She’s the reason I have two beautiful children. When my husband and I was having fertility issue. She thoroughly tested me for everything. I followed all her recommendations. I was able to get pregnant. She delivered both of my children. My journey with both of my pregnancies was not easy but knowing I had her as not only my doctor, my encourager when I felt defeated. Thank you so much.

I have had Dr. Mullings-Britton as my OBGYN for years and every visit was fast and informative. I come in and minutes later I am seen. I have a concern she grants me advice pertaining to my particular issue and diet then suggests natural remedies along with medication if necessary. She is very throughout and educated about the female anatomy and pairs each person with proper treatment holistically, dietarily, and medically. Bonus: She is a highly educated black woman perfect for my highly educated black woman needs. I definitely recommend her to all women.

Dr . Janet Mullins-Britton is one of the worst physicians that I have encountered throughout my years working in the healthcare industry and being a patient. She lack compassion, time management, communication skills, and professionalism. As a patient you are suppose to be part of your plan of care in which she fails to do . She is very short with her answers when asked a question as if you suppose to know. I don’t think that she is aware of duties as a physician far as educating her patients, treating them with dignity and respect, and being compassionate. I am very disappointed I’m the care that I received from her and actually had to call patient advocate to resolve such issues. This type of treatment left a nasty everlasting impression of Ascension St.John Healthcare System .

Dr Mullings is compassIonate she’s not only my OB GYn she’s my counselor. I always look forward to seeing her. Doctor Mullings is one who told me to take my vitamin B luckily I did cause it turned out that ppl with low vitamin B were more likely to get Covid-19. Thank you doctor Mullings for being comprehensive in your care.

It is very seldom that I feel compelled to write a review but I had to because I was treated with great dignity at Dr Mullings office, she is very courteous and she listened, I was not brushed off. She was patient with me, "the patient" The atmosphere was good office clean and I HIGHLY recommend her. Great Doctor one of the best a Providence.

This doctor was on call when I gave birth. She was nowhere to be found until after my child was born. When she came in, she did not introduce herself, and she went to work on me without addressing me as a human. She performed a medical procedure that was incredibly painful without explanation, and when I told her clearly to stop, she paused without taking her hands out of me and said something, then kept going. I feel violated and humiliated by this person. I'm preparing for my second birth and dealing with PTSD due to what she did to me.

This is the worse doctor I've ever seen in my life. She double- and triple-books appointments, like a poorly organized hairdresser. After waiting for an hour for my scheduled appointment, she rushes in as if she's in a rush. Then speaks to me as if she has an attitude when I ask why the wait has been so long (this appointment was during my lunch break from work). She immediately blew me off. I'm not sure what her cultural background is, but she was very insistent in asking me if I've ever used marijuana. She asked me that question 5 times, 5 different ways (Have you ever smoked weed? Do you use marijuana? Have you ever ingested marijuana? Do you smoke marijuana? Are you a smoker?). How many different ways can you say NO, I've NEVER smoked anything in my life! After our 2nd visit, she stated she needed to get an approval from my insurance company for a surgical procedure and she would be in touch. 2 weeks later, I call into her office, her medical assistant informed me I… should've gotten approval from my primary care physician (PCP) for a surgery referral. How was I supposed to know this? A week later, I get a referral from my PCP. Also during this time I experienced a severe medical issue, related to my surgery. I called her office for days with no return phone call. I even had to go to the emergency room to receive temporary care. When I threatened a medical malpractice lawsuit, the good Dr. Mullings-Britton stated that she refused to do my surgery and will not see me again. This is complete negligence and her medical license should be revoked immediately. The worst!

Dr. Mullings is an incredible doctor!! She is patient, kind, wise, proactive, caring, relatable, humble and extremely knowledgeable without trying to scare the patient. She delivered my first child and would have delivered my second but we moved out of state. I wish there was a way to still have her as my doctor!! She’s incredible! We truly love her!

Dr. Mullings is not my regular OBGYN she was covering for my doctor (who I love). Dr.Mullings talked to me like I didn't have a single working brain cell. She was very rude and very aggressive in her assessments, going so far as to question my OBs treatment plan and just uncaring in her overall demeanor . I've NEVER been treated like that! being as close as I am to delivery, I have questions and she just kept repeating it's all dependent on baby "believe it or not",(those were her words) like I don't get that, I just wanted to understand options. Again just so RUDE and no one deserves to feel dumb or unheard. I would never recommend a meeting with her and if I didn't love my current OBGYN, I'd find a new practice all together.
