Dr. Janet P Peterson, DDS

Janet Peterson has practiced dentistry in Corvallis for over 25 years.  She has been active in professional associations, including serving as president of the local and state dental associations.  Between 1996 and 2000 she served on the American Dental Association Council on Dental Practice, a council that provides for continually educating practicing dentists on best techniques, and efficiently running a small business. Locally she has served on the Benton County Public Health Advisory Board, the Benton County Oral Health Coalition, The KidCo Headstart Board, the Lane Community College Hygiene School Advisory Board and the Corvallis Assistance League Dental Advisory Committee.
Continuing education has been a big part of Janet's professional life.  She has taken hundreds of hours of classes, including five weeks at the highly regarded Panke Institute that trains dentists to consider whole mouth and whole body health and gives hands-on training.  She also spent seven years taking …patients to Portland to participate in a Tucker Gold Study Club that trains dentists to do very conservative esthetic and long lasting gold restorations.  In 1999 she was named Dentist of the Year by the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry- an award given for technical excellence as well as community service.
Janet and her husband Gary have two grown sons who went through the Corvallis public schools and still have strong ties to Corvallis, although they now live and work elsewhere in Oregon.
