Dr. Janeth Ceja, MD

Hello and thank you for visiting my Web page. This is a great opportunity to get to know me a little bit better as your present or future physician. And, whether you are one of my current patients or plan on becoming one, I thank you for entrusting me with your loved ones' care.

Biography
I am the oldest of six children, and I obtained my degree in biochemistry from UC Riverside, attended medical school at the Drew/UCLA medical program, and did my training in pediatrics at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. I feel honored to have obtained my education from such strong academic institutions that also emphasize serving with care and compassion in underserved communities. After living in LA for over ten years, I decided to come back to the Inland Empire to be close to my family. It has been a blessing to be able to celebrate birthdays and holidays with them again, and to see my niece be born and grow up.

About my practice
I truly consider it a privilege and an honor to be a …physician and be able to take care of children's health. I absolutely love what I do, and children always put a smile on my face. Even if am tired from doing a long shift without any sleep, being able to see the innocent and excited smile of a baby or child gives me the energy to keep going, and I feel blessed for having the wonderful job I have. I am here to help parents feel at ease when it comes to their child's health. I believe that the most important thing is to treat a patient as I would treat a family member, but most importantly to put myself in the parent's shoes and address their concerns. There is no one who knows your child better than you do, and my philosophy is to always listen to and address your concerns. I strive to provide care with knowledge, empathy and compassion.

How I thrive
One of my passions is learning languages. Besides speaking Spanish fluently, I learned Italian after my first visit to Italy in 1997. I promised myself that I would be fluent in Italian whenever I went back, and I was able to do so when I went to work in Italy in the pediatric intensive care unit in 2003. It was an experience of a lifetime. I plan to continue learning other languages, and I value and appreciate what other cultures have to offer. On the same note, I absolutely love trying different cuisines from all over the world, and traveling and experiencing other cultures. Some of my hobbies are oil painting, classical guitar playing, and riding my bicycle--I love the thrill of feeling the wind blow on my face as I am going down a steep hill--as hard and painful as it may be to get up there in the first place.
