She graduated magna cum laude, with high honors, in 1984. After completing her training at Corpus Christi Regional Naval Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, she decided to return to Florida.
Prior to joining Cape Coral Eye Center, Dr. Birr …practiced at Cigna Healthplan of Florida in Clearwater from 1985 to 1991. This multi-disciplinary medical center was staffed by 40 doctors of various specialties. While in Clearwater, Dr. Birr was honored as "Cigna Healthplan of Florida Provider of the Year" by her fellow doctors and staff.
Dr. Birr was voted "Best Optometrist in Cape Coral" in the Cape Coral Breeze readers poll for 2003. She provides comprehensive eye care with special emphasis on geriatric eye care and Glaucoma.
