Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I have always been fascinated by medicine and it's ability to change lives for the better. I first became a nurse to teach patients about how to improve their health. Becoming a nurse practitioner has allowed me to both practice medicine and to educate the community in which I live.What I want my patients to know about me:I am passionate about helping patients understand their health. Knowledge truly is empowering. Having an understanding of what impacts certain disease states and making changes can truly change overall health and outcomes.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I am a mother to four amazing kids and I enjoy spending time with them and the rest of our family. We have two fur babies - Winnie and Eden, they are very spoiled.
