Dr. Janice Mira Dworkin, MD

Very unprofessional office. First, they were over an hour behind in appointments. Second, front desk staff wore no mask whatsoever. Third, the young girl who was supposed to take intake and help with script, was ditzy and inattentive, and even the doctor was rolling her eyes and frustrated at her complete incompetence! The doctor does not use a dermascope which if you Google online something like 98% of physicians use. “The use of dermoscopy was reported in the daily practice of 98% of dermatologists”. Well, not this office!! There was zero soap in the patient restrooms, (not the women’s or men’s!!) and even pointing this out to staff did not heal the solution. There was minimal soap in the dispensers in the actual office bathroom used by staff, which was most disconcerting. And there was a bug crawling on the itchy paper gown given. Hope it wasn’t a bedbug… I tried to flick it away, but it vanished so I don’t know where it went. Could not have had it worse experience. Is this really… what the state of medicine has become in 2022? Worse, because their office is located in a hospital building, you would think staff would have masks and they would be sufficient soap to help avoid transmitting all sorts of viruses, including Covid. What a disgrace!!

When I walked into the office for my appointment, I was the only patient in the waiting room, assuming the lack of patients was due to the nasty rainy day and it being a day before Xmas Eve. I had a 2pm appointment and was called from the waiting room at approximately 2:30, placed into an exam room. Upon walking to the exam room, I noticed there were no other patients in any other exam rooms as the remaining exam room doors were open with no one inside; confirming that I was the only patient in the building. No patients exited the exam rooms while I was waiting in the waiting room. While in the exam room, I began overhearing a personal conversation Dr. Dworkin was having with a staff member or another doctor. I waited until 2:45 and left the exam room to ask the staff at the front desk if the doctor was aware I was waiting in the exam room. The staff member apologized for my wait and interrupted Dr. Dworkin, informing her she had a patient waiting, which I personally witnessed. The… nurse exited the room to tell me that Dr. Dworkin would be with me shortly. After listening to this conversation for another 15 minutes and at 2pm, I decided an hour wait while being the only patient in the office, especially when the wait was for Dr. Dworkin to carry on a personal conversation, was unacceptable, unprofessional and rude. I left the exam room once again and informed the staff that I would be leaving and that I was extremely disappointed in having to wait as long as I did only to be ignored by the doctor so she can have a personal conversation. They apologized, however, in those few moments with speaking to the staff, Dr. Dworkin still remained immersed in her conversation. I wasn't feeling well at all on this day and came out in the heavy rain only because I felt I had a serious condition that needed attention and I didn't want to delay an exam. So I wasted an hour of my life and came out ill in the bad weather and gained absolutely nothing from it but sheer frustration. Hours have passed since I left the office and I haven't received a personal phone call from Dr. Dworkin apologizing for her poor behavior.

I had an 11:30 appt, I arrived at 11:20 there was 1 person in the waiting room. I was not taken till 12:50 then waited in exam room for 25 minutes. It was unacceptable. I had a body check that lasted 5 minutes. Why did I have to wait so long. Would not recommend.

I came to this doctor for a minor problem. I waited in the waiting room for 40 min. and then another 10 min. in the exam room before seeing the doctor - unacceptable! I was the only patient in the waiting room the whole time so I can't understand the lengthy delay and was not given any apology or explanation. My visit with the doctor lasted less than 5 min.

I've been dealing with an severe acne issue for a while and several dermatologist I visited just put me on topical medications to mask the problem. Dr Dworkin spent almost an hour with me assessing my problem and getting to the bottom of my issue. She then cleaned my face out and gave me quaterzone shots. In a matter of minutes my face looked 10 times better than when I walked in. She gave me medication to solve the problem from within as well as the exterior problem. Within a week my acne was almost invisible. It was a miracle and this amazing, genuinely caring women has magic hands. I've recommended her to everyone I know.
