Dr. Janice E. Mcmillan, MD

Dr. Janice E. McMillan, MD is a board-certified Endocrinologist with extensive experience in managing complex endocrine conditions, diabetes, and metabolism disorders. Prior to coming to Prima Medicine, she served as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Endocrinologist at West Virginia University, where she was responsible for comprehensive outpatient care across multiple clinics and mentoring medical students and residents.

Dr. McMillan has local roots. She completed her fellowship in Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Virginia, where she served as Chief Fellow, designing educational curricula and quality improvement initiatives.

Her medical career spans diverse roles, including hospitalist positions at Chippenham/Johnston-Willis Hospitals and Highland Hospital. Dr. McMillan is a published author and presenter in the field of endocrinology, with contributions to nationally recognized journals such as NEJM, Healer and other peer-reviewed Endocrinology …journals. A dedicated educator and clinician, she is proficient in technology, conversational Spanish, and brings a well-rounded and patient-focused approach to Endocrine care.

Dr. McMillan practices as an Endocrinology specialist at the Fairfax location of Prima Medicine, and is accepting new patients.
