Dr. Janice Gail Nord, MD

I went to Dr Nord for a couple of years and thought she was pretty good. I couldn't figure out why she had negative reviews of not caring until one day she said to me, "You have too many problems and should consider seeing another Dr". I was blown away! Totally going against the hippocratic oath and making me feel less of a human but I did follow her advice. Dr's are a dime a dozen and unfortunately in Florida there are too many sub par doctors being allowed to practice. She must be making too much money to worry about losing patients. Too bad for her.

Wants you well and staying well.

Orders a bunch of unnecessary tests. Doesn’t care about federal guidelines for testing. Doesn’t listen. She wants the money to travel. She’s cold, uncaring and truly unfit to deal with scared, sick people. Will never go back to her. They also charge you $25 more if you can’t pay your co-pay right then. She is just shuddering cold.

Dr. Nord has no bedside manner. Cold. Distant. Does not listen. Does not care. She probably missed her calling to do research and never deal with people. And her attire was inappropriate. One could see all the way to her thighs and I am male but do not want that from a professional. Was embarrassing.

You are just a computer print out of test result, do not expect compassion here. Cold as ice!

Dr Nord is a very caring Dr. I am glad That I chose her to be my dr

I had two appointments with Dr. Nord for prescreening for surgery. Since I had never seen her before, she made me have blood work, chest X-ray , before she would sign off on the surgery. When I came back for the results she was very kind and compassionate. During the first visit I thought she was very professional, but sensed that she not as personable as I would have liked. But when I went for the 2nd visit I determined that she is a very driven physician. She is concerned about her patients well being and is very courteous. I look forward to having Dr. Nord care for me in the future.

Spent too much time talking about her own problems.

I have been doctor Nord's patient for about three years now. In the beginning I found her to be upfront and spoke what she was thinking not what I wanted to hear her say! However, in time I realize she is a caring and concern doctor she crosses her t's and dot's her i's. For me I would not look for another doctor she has stabilized my blood pressure and has concerns about the rest of my numbers! Every time I leave her office she gives me a hug! Love her will not ever change her on less my husband job relocates!

I can't imagine these negative reviews. Several years ago while being a snowbird in Port Charlotte, my blood pressure went sky high. I was fortunate to find Dr Nord. To my surpise, when I arrived for my first appointment, expecting to wait for an hour, I wascalled by almost almost immediately. Thinking I would have to wait there, I had a book but didn't get to look at it at all. She examined me throughly and answered my questions and worked with me in prescribing several different BP medications until she found the correct dosage. She also ordered blood work and noted I had a possible kidney problem. I soon left Fl and returned home and no one noticed this problem until I was diagnosed with cancerous tumors in both kidneys. I really believe if I had stayed in Fl she would have diagnosed this problem earlier. She is very concerned and dedicated. I feel fortunate to have her for my Florida physician.
