Summary
Janice Pierce, O.D., attended the University of North Dakota. Graduating magna cum laude, Dr. Pierce received her BS in biology with a focus on pre-health sciences. Following her undergraduate studies, she received her optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry where she graduated with distinction. Next, Dr. Pierce completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics.
Dr. Pierce has been a member of the excellent team of eye care specialists at Swagel Wootton Eye Institute since 2014. She provides comprehensive eye care services to patients, including ocular disease management and contact lenses. Dr. Peirce also provides pre and post-operative co-management and is an active member of both the American Academy of Optometry and the Arizona Optometric Association.
When Dr. Pierce is not treating patients, she enjoys various recreational activities including hiking, cooking, and kayaking.

I have been seeing Dr Janice Pierce for over 10 years now. She is very caring and takes the time to answer all my questions at every visit. I have several ongoing issues with my eyes including pre-glaucoma and previous macular hole surgery. She is working with me to ensure my eyesight is the best it can be for the remainder of my life. I know I am in excellent hands with Dr Pierce. I highly recommend her and the entire team at the Swagel Wootton Eye Institute (SWEI)!
