Dr. Janice G Moreno, DDS

Dr. Janice Scott's passion is to educate her patients in good oral health, understanding your options for treatment and helping you achieve that goal. Dr. Janice Scott received her DDS degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1986 in the top 5% of her class, and her undergraduate education from Pacific Union College and Loma Linda University with a BS Degree in Dental Hygiene. Dr. Janice Scott is a member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association and San Joaquin Dental Society, as well as a fellow of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and Pierre Fouchard Academy.
Dr. Scott has practiced in Stockton since July 1986, has a passion for dentistry and enjoys treating the whole family. Dr. Scott took advanced studies in TMD and Occlusion. She …also has taken many continuing education courses in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Her focus is on adult restorative dentistry, prosthetics (fixed and removable), TMD (temporo-mandibular joint disorders), periodontics (treatment of the gums), aesthetic dentistry and treating children with the focus of helping your child enjoy their dental visit.
She is also very active in her professional association and was President of San Joaquin Dental Society in 2006 as well as a Trustee to the California Dental Association in 2007-2013. She was a clinical director in the dental hygiene department of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1981-1982.
She is currently on the CDA Foundation Board of Directors (which has a focus for access to care for the under-served populations) and the CDA Cares Management Committee where she volunteers at CDA CARES, a bi-annual event, and focuses her passion in creating smiles in the lab area of the clinic fabricating dentures and temporary partials to create smiles. Dr. Scott also works to help educate her community on legislative issues related to patient care and oral health. Dr. Scott's life-long passion has been to educate her patients in the best oral health care and create healthy, beautiful smiles with great function. Dr. Scott is also on the Farmers Insurance Board of Governors, which has generously donated to several CDA Cares events. “To me, the most important part of being a dentist is teaching my patients how to maintain strong, healthy mouths for life. Joining Dr. Janice Scott at Deer Park Dental is Dr. Christopher J. von Tersch DDS who has been helping his patients achieve healthy, natural-looking smiles for over 15 years. He graduated in the top 6% of his University of the Pacific School of Dentistry class and focused on Esthetic Dentistry and Smile Design during his residency.
Dr. von Tersch believes in continuing education as a tool for providing his patients with the best possible care, which is why he has taken courses in esthetics, bite mechanics, implant restoration, material science, and more. He enjoys finding creative ways to help his patients achieve their oral health goals while working within their budgets; it's a collaborative approach that he finds offers his patients more personalized results. Dr. von Tersch treats every patient with the same care and dedication that he shows his own family, and he works hard to help his patients achieve the radiant, confident smiles they want and deserve.
